CVS deals 8/14

Posted August 12, 2011

At CVS this week, there is a great deal on Huggies diapers, free Gatorade, and few other deals worth considering. Honestly, it's a slow week at CVS for me. I'll be picking up the free Gatorade and that's about it. Please post if you see any other good deals.

Oh yeah, has anyone tried the G Fit series gatorade? I looked at it and it seemed like weird flavors-pear/melon and acai rasberry? I was interested in the chocolate banana snack bar but I figured it probably tasted more like a protein bar than a candy bar.

Good to know about the diapers, I just got a rain check since they didn't even have any in my son's size. I got the free band-aids and carmello bar. Side note, the CVS in Smithfield and Clayton-hwy 70 have not restocked their BIC soleil razors from two and a half weeks ago. I asked the cashier and she wasn't sure when they would get more in.

This was late last week but I received an email that if I scanned my card at the kiosk I would receive a cpn for a Cover Girl NatureLux ??? foundation for $6. I went on Friday and there it was. Used my $1 MQ and got a great deal.

I love CVS! I went & scanned my card & got the free candy bar, free carefree & free band-aids!! They were all in stock!!

2-12 pk diet mt dew in can
    1 candy bar
    1 carefree 20ct

    10.03$$ :)

Ok, this is extremely overwhelming! I purchased some items for my son (second trip to CVS) and used his card which I did not scan at the kiosk thing before shopping.

He got the chocolate bar and the bandaid freebie coupons PRINTED ON HIS RECEIPT!

They expire today though, so I'll have to try to find a CVS along the way to Greensboro so he doesn't lose out on those deals.

They are REALLY pushing the new "free" item approach to get people into the store and hitting the kiosk I think!

Nancy - I received the same THREE freebies! Whoo hoo! Nothing like some free chocolate and free pantiliners to make a girls' day! LOL

Oxy - try scanning you card tomorrow. I wonder if the 3rd freebie will print for you then.

  • Oxymoron02 Aug 14, 2011

Wow, I thought 2 freebies was good, but I guess I'm just not that special. I got Caramello and CVS bandages.

And while it is entirely their perogative to allow their coupon to be used on something other than the slip-ons, the $3 man Q SAYS it's for the slip-ons, so using it for any other product is fraud.

Oh, and the "Jeans" variety aren't ringing at $8.99 (THANK YOU magic coupon machine for the $4 off Jeans pack coupon that printed a couple weeks ago, that I held on to just in case), nor are they crediting towards the $30 for the gas card. They price adjusted because the ad says, in pretty bold letters, ALL Huggies Jumbo packs, but I didn't notice it not crediting towards the gas card til I was home.

  • katie1horton Aug 14, 2011

I know this has essentially already been posted, but CVS will let you use the $2 CVS Q and the $3 MQ on any of the Little Movers diapers, not just the slip-ons!

  • hollyjenkins Aug 14, 2011

i got the same freebies -- candy, panti-liners, and band aids! with an overage! :)

Went to CVS this morning and talked with manager who checked me out. Said that no CVS stores had the new huggies slip ons, they haven't shipped yet. She said most store should get the Friday!! Thankfully she let me sub regular huggies diapers for the $3 Manf coupon and $2 CVS coupon. So I still got diapers and my FREE gas card!!
