I signed up for the newsletter on the Skinny Cow website a while back and recently was sent an email for a BOGO coupon on the clusters or crisps. You had to like them on Facebook to be eligible to print the coupon, but it makes the free candy even better!!

"Also, went to Lowe's today to use my rain check on the Kelloggs Crunchy nut honey nut cereal. I purchased 4 but since it was 2/$5 like my rain check, I did not thing I would have to use the rain check. I did not get my $4.00 register rewards. Was that just for last week? I think I need a refresher class since my deals are not as sweet as yours."

lindalarry - you had to use the RC to get the instant $4 off at the register on the cereal - it wasn't a catalina that would print out but an actual instant savings of $4 taken off at the register when you purchased those cereals.

You still have the raincheck so you could buy another 4 cereals at the $2.50 price another day - hopefully they remembered to write down to give you the $4 instant savings too as the register won't have that programmed in, I made sure when I got my RC to ask that they mark that down on the RC.

"jenster 69 At CVS AXE shower gel and deodorant have deal with $3 ECB with purchase of 3.. There are 2 BOGO coupons for shower gel and deodorant in paper this week. Can I just purchase 2 for $9 but get 4 items and still have $3 ECB print? Just don't want to go through the hassel and find out it will not work"

I was able to do this today at my CVS with no problem.

@lindalarry40 - Kroger is doing this as well. A friend of mine was shopping for V-8 Fusion. She had three coupons (2 $1/1 and the B2 Fusion get Fusion w/Tea free). She got two Fusion juices and one tea but they would only let her use the B2G1 free.

    Help Faye,
When did everyone stop taking a coupon along with the BOGO for the one you are buying. Tried to use $l.00 with BOGO at CVS today and was told I could not use it. Had the same problem last week at WalMart. I know I have been doing this since the $1.00 is on the one you are buying and the BOGO coupon is for the free one. What's up?

Also, went to Lowe's today to use my rain check on the Kelloggs Crunchy nut honey nut cereal. I purchased 4 but since it was 2/$5 like my rain check, I did not thing I would have to use the rain check. I did not get my $4.00 register rewards. Was that just for last week? I think I need a refresher class since my deals are not as sweet as yours.

Thanks for all your help. You are our "hero".

Uh-oh - my Red Plum insert in MY paper did not have the Skinny Cow coupons like the ones in my daughters mailbox :(

  • Nancy Jul 30, 2011

I agree completely Faye - we get to continue to control how we use them and stretch their value with MQ's too!

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Jul 30, 2011

I am so glad to see that they are NOT going to load them to the rewards cards after all! Thanks for the update, Nancy!
