Harris Teeter deals 7/27

Posted July 27, 2011

There are some great deals at Harris Teeter this week including SIX e-Vic deals and a number of Buy 2 Get 3 Free and BOGO Deals!

Harris Teeter Coupon Policy Basics:

Doubles coupons .99 or less everyday

Doubles up to 20 coupons per day

Doubles up to 3 identical coupons (must have required product to go with each coupon)

BOGO sales ring up at half price. If you just buy one, it still rings up at half price. The policy has recently changed and now states that you can only use two coupons on a BOGO deal. So, if you buy 2 items that are BOGO, you can use two coupons (which is a very good thing!).

FAYE, IS SUPER DOUBLES GOING TO BE THIS WEEK? THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO!!

  • trublondmom715 Jul 30, 2011

I went to Harris Teeter in Wake Forest yesterday to do my shopping. I found all the deals you posted except for one....the HT orange juice. They had HT orange juice but it wasn't even marked on sale and I couldn't find it in the sale circular, either. Could that have been last week's deal?
Either way my subtotal was 181.69 but after scanning my e-vic card and using coupons, I spent only 96.63. I got so many good deals, especially the Wish bone salad dressing and Arm and Hammer Laundry detergent which just happens to be two of my favorite brands.

For those of you who have the free product coupons from Pantene or Herbal Essence from the Facebook giveaways a while back, you can get the family sized Pantene for $0.50 and the family size Herbal Essence for $1 at HT this week.

Ok Nancy, I went today and used the raincheck for the Reynolds but I almost had a heart attack when I saw that the price is now $4.99 each. When they were BOGO a few weeks ago they were $3.99. The price tag was dated 7/20. All of my coupons did double since they were different, so that was a plus. I asked the manager if I could get them for $3.99 & BOGO since that is what the price was at the time the raincheck was written, and she did a *courtesy* store coupon for $3.00 off but told me that next time that wouldn't happen. I was polite and said thank you but she seemed bothered by my raincheck :( I also bought the Butterball turkey bacon but that coupon did not double since it has the new GS1 barcode, but $1.85 isn't bad for turkey bacon :)

Is anyone else noticing these prices that keep rising and rising?

Yea! Red potatoes were included on my eVic mid-week list! I had such great success on the last potato sale being able to get all those potatoes but then parboiling for 2-3 min, dunk in cold water immediately to stop enzyme action. Then cut them, flash freeze on cookie sheets then vacuum seal them for future use! Wedges, cubed, whatever - works GREAT!

crazyclacks - that MIGHT work, you can always ask the cashier first, and just tell them that if all 6 double, you want all 6, if not, pull out what doesn't double from your order :) If you let them know ahead of the scan, they'll be happy to help and watch to see that they do double for you :)

  • thecrazyclacks Jul 29, 2011

Ok, 3 of the coupons say for Reynolds non-stick and 3 say for any Reynolds and the barcodes are different so I was hoping they would all double. I'll just get 3 then because another deal will come along soon enough :)

  • Nancy Jul 29, 2011

crazyclacks - unfortunately, no, only three like coupons will double :( That's why when I get rainchecks I get them for multiples of 3.

Better to get two different rainchecks (one each time you go to the store) than more than coupon double limit allows.

BUT, having said that, when it's $1.99 on sale, that's a whole lot better even with face value coupon that no coupon at all!!

  • thecrazyclacks Jul 29, 2011

Question... I have a raincheck for the Reynolds wrap from when it was BOGO during the last SD. My raincheck says limit 6. If I get 3 heavy duty and 3 non-stick, will all 6 coupons double? They have slightly different barcodes and one is specifically for non-stick. I couldn't get my hands on any during the sale and now my $0.75 q's are expiring 7/31 :(

euphy. Take out your coupons and look at one, you will probably see two barcodes, one on the left is the old kind, one line of code and numbers below it. To the right of that one you might see two lines of barcode with a number above it. That one on the right is the new GS-1 code.

Here is a link to a picture of it, new one is on the right:

Some coupons are coming out now with ONLY the new barcode, more and more will be dropping the old barcode as the year goes on.
