Food Lion deals 7/27

Posted July 27, 2011

This week at Food Lion you will find good deals on chicken leg quarters (only 39 cents per lb!), red seedless grapes (99 cents per lb.), cantaloupe, creamer and more!  The chicken leg quarters and grapes are great deals and worth making a trip to buy if your family eats those items. I'll definitely be picking up the grapes this week!

Food Lion Coupon Basics

Food Lion does not double coupons in North Carolina

They have no limits on number of coupons they will take, unless specified in the ad

BOGO items ring up at half price so if you only buy 1, it rings at half price. You can use a coupon on each BOGO sale item.

For a list of couponing abbreviations, see the link in the box above.

For more detailed information on the Food Lion coupon policy see the Groocry Coupon Policies link in the box above.

E-Coupons: You can now load manufacturer’s coupons to your Food Lion MVP card and when they scan your card at the register and you buy the qualifying items, the discount will come off automatically. I spoke with corporate and they confirmed that these are manufacturer’s coupons and not to be combined with hard copy manufacturer’s from the newspaper and other sources. She said their policy is only coupon per product. No e-coupons will double. Click HERE for more information.

Holy cow! Food Lion really pulled out all the stops with meat sales this week! We filled the freezer tonight!! Great coupons at the scanner thingy too! I took my mom with me tonight and she was practically skipping to the car! :) lol!

Divided the meat packages as soon as I got home (and added seasoning and marinades to some!) and ended up with over 17 (generous) meals for my house and 13 more for moms! Woot Woot! Can't wait to have friends over to bbq!

I got the $1 off $10 produce q also - but can't buy it right now since we are headed for the beach in a few days.
Does anyone know if FL's deals for our area are the same as the deals they have at the NC coast?
I would get the OJ and free eggs after we are there as well as the BOGO Fritos and other things (FL is about the only shopping option where we go). We take tons of food with us to avoid having to shop much, but some things just don't travel well.

At the MVP kiosk, I got $1 off $10 produce coupon today. Also, if you buy Tropicana OJ, you get a dozen eggs FREE.

I also got a bag of frozen Mama Lucia's meatballs for $3.50 - they are on sale BOGO. Also Jimmy Dean frzn sausage patties 26 count for $5.25 with $.75 off coupons from newspaper. (I take these to the beach - easy, quick sausage with easy frozen Pillsbury biscuits so I don't have to cook)

FL has a great deal on Purina Friskies cat food this week. Upon scanning my mvp card at the kiosk in the entry I got a q for .75 off Purina Friskies. It is on sale for $2 a bag (great price). I bought 2 bags, the cashier scanned my .75 q twice, so each bag was $1.25 (usually $4.99)

My Food Lion on Hilltop in FV had 99 cent package of strawberries (1 lb) as a manager's special while supplies last.

Erika, I believe it is $2.89 normally so one would be about $1.45. Not 100% sure but that price seems to be stuck in my head!

Does anyone know what the price of the shredded cheese ends up being?
