Posted July 6, 2011

At Harris Teeter this week you will find very good buys on Butterball turkey franks, Tilapia fillets, Palermo's Pizza, Pop Tarts, Kellogg's Raisin Bran, Purina Dog Chow and more!  There is also a $10 off $40 purchase coupon in the sales ad this week.

Harris Teeter Coupon Policy Basics:

Doubles coupons .99 or less everyday

Doubles up to 20 coupons per day

Doubles up to 3 identical coupons (must have required product to go with each coupon)

BOGO sales ring up at half price. If you just buy one, it still rings up at half price. The policy has recently changed and now states that you can only use two coupons on a BOGO deal. So, if you buy 2 items that are BOGO, you can use two coupons (which is a very good thing!).

e-coupons: Don’t forget to add the e-coupons to your Harris Teeter VIC card and remember, you can stack the e-coupons with manufacturer coupons to maximize savings. The link to your e-coupons are in your Wednesday e-Vic e-mail.

E-Vic deal this week: Kellogg’s Pop Tarts, 8 count for .97, limit 2 - $2 off 3 printable coupon when you sign up. Buy 2 at the e-vic price of .97 and 1 at regular price of $1.79 = $1.73 for 3 (.58 each which is a good price if Pop Tarts are something you buy)

I just noticed that the $10/$40 coupon says use in Raleigh locations only. So, even though it was in the N&O, does that mean I can't use that coupon at my Chapel Hill location? Just curious as to whether or not anyone else had tried using it outside of Raleigh.

I have had few problems with my HT doubling the do not double but it did not happen with the Butterball coupon. I looked at my other ones and it does not start with a 5 OR a 9. What I have found is that most HTs will double the DND if it does so automatically but don't even catch it when it doesn't.

my mom said nutritionist recommended nature's path cereal to her and it's on sale BOGO ($2.25 each). milk bone dog biscuits BOGO - $1.50 off 2=$3 for 2. Salmon burgers in frozen case in seafood dept $2.97 (i haven;t tried this brand before). Crest 3D Whitening rinse (946 ml) $4.49-$2off coupon=$2.49, crest alcohol and dye free $4.49 - $75cent off coupon, whole fruit bars $3-50 cent coupon = $2 (since these are always out when on sale, i was glad to find them since i've never tried it before!)pepito tortillas BOGO. saved $86.87/spent $100 (but i killed my savings by purchasing 2 gallons of organic milk, wine and some medicines without Q as strep throat has invaded our household so i can't afford to shop around for some things). i was happy i remembered to use my $10off purchase i got in the mail from lowe's foods. not too bad for a late night shopping trip on Thursday!

msgooch - the stores that I use/know that double coupons are located at TenTen/401; Sunset Lake & Holly Springs Road and Kildaire Farm Rd in Cary.

  • msgooch2000 Jul 7, 2011

Not sure if this is ok, but I'll ask anyway. I would love a list of those HTs that are doubling the DNDs. Don't want to get anyone in trouble though.

  • Nancy Jul 7, 2011

tamontello, apparently the $10/$40 was in the ad found in the Wed newspaper, not the ones in the store.

  • Nancy Jul 7, 2011

jz - that is one of the stores I refuse to shop in, last (and only) time I went there was within months of their opening and the manager happened to be my cashier and he pulled all the DND coupons and said "You know, these won't double, right?" I asked him why and he told me because it says so on the coupon.

So I told him to remove those items from my order and I would use them at other HT's that do double them. His response was "Oh! They could get in trouble doing that!" ~sigh~

HT in Holly Springs on Village Walk Dr. wouldn't double the no doubles the other day - this was new to me, but the cashier claimed they've never allowed it. I'm taking that store off my list.

Thanks Nancy I will try another HT next time. Also, I didn't score the $10 off $40 coupons, where can I get one?
