Swimming at Grandma's and cooking on the grill instead of going out of town

I plan to hang out with my co-worker & watch some fireworks at her place. Having a little cookout, using some of the free bbq sauce & other items I got during super doubles, triple coupon weeks at HT.

We have made a tradition of going to the parent/child fishing tournament at Bond park in Cary on the morning of July 4th. My dad goes too. It's a great time for us to share together. It's free too! And they have prizes for the smallest and largest fish caught! It is loads of fun!

Annual cookout and fireworks at my uncle's house. Everybody brings something so no one has to spend alot. We've been doing this for years. There is usually water balloons and glow necklaces involved. Fun for all ages.

We are going low key this year and having friends over to just hang out. I'm making pulled pork with the $1.29/lb roast from HT and bottles of BBQ sauce that I picked up for $0.50 a few weeks ago. Plus I'm making a pasta salad with veggies that were on sale this week. Throw in a watermelon that was on sale at Target and we've got a great summer meal for a crowd for a great price.

I will also partake of free fireworks where I can find them and get the free watermelon at Earthfare

Faye, I will be staying around Clayton. I have already taken advantage of the 10cents off gas at Murphy thanks to your post!

On July 2nd, the family and I are watching fireworks in the Brier Creek community at 9pm. Then, on July 3rd, we are heading to Wake Forest to watch fireworks. And of course, I will be bringing a 12 pack of diet coke that I purchased for $2.50 at my local Target minus 5% rewards and 5 cents for each bag (20 cents total) I stuffed my eight 12 packs in :)

Swimming in the lake behind my house and grilling out with family using the "cheap chicken" I picked up a few weeks ago!
