Oh Nancy! When we were kids, we spent many a summer collecting cans and bottles from all over our tiny town, then we would cash them in and buy candy and stickers.

My Mom was glad for many reasons: we saved her some cash, cleaned up the town and kept ourselves busy ;)

jz - when I was in NY, they have nickle deposit per can/plastic bottle for drinks - it's amazing how fast that adds up!

howarddonna, I get the Lowe's e-mail late Thursday night. It took me a long time to get it after I signed up - also, I still had an old Lowe's card and didn't know I had to get a new Fresh Rewards card to participate. I just picked up a new card in store, then had customer service sign me up for the e-mails.

Faye - Thank you! I found the Meijer thread on hotcouponworld.com - it's easy to read:)

As far as the gas goes, I'm checking against the .10 off/gallon Wal-Mart card deal to see if there are enough participating gas stations on my route up north.

You get .10 deposit back per can/bottle up in Michigan, maybe I'll pull a Kramer and try to cash in - LOL!

I always get a weekend special in my email. I usually get them on Thursday's(I think).

  • howarddonna Jun 29, 2011

Can anyone tell me if you get emails from Lowes like you do for Harris Teeter? And if you get them on the weekend for their weekend specials (if they have them)? I never get any emails from them and I know I am signed up. They actually called me and said that they do not send emails for weekend specials, and that I would just have to go to their website and see what was on special.
