My apologies regarding the Wake Tech class!

If you were one of the ten or so people that Wake Tech turned away from the class today, I am so very sorry! Their website was still showing that the class was open this morning and I know some of you came at the last minute hoping to get in. It filled up with walk-ins and I apologize that you could not get in.

I am sure it was rather confusing to you since the room itself holds 120 people but for some reason the Wake Tech folks capped the class at 40 people and would not let anyone else in. I will be speaking with them about it on Monday, but that doesn't help those of you who drove over there this morning.

If you were one of the 10 or so folks who were not able to get into the class this morning, please send me an e-mail at so I can chat with you about upcoming classes. I met most of you, but there were a few who were turned away before I got there so I want all of you to please get in touch with me so I can make this right.

To those who were able to attend the class, thank you for spending the morning with me. I hope you learned lots of new helpful info and I look forward to hearing from you on the blog!  (And I enjoyed shopping with some of you after class - thanks to Kelly for the Kraft big slice cheese coupon!!)

    Seems odd to me that the college would limit that anyway. If the room has capacity and folks who are willing to pay AND you are willing to teach that many at a time, wonder why the school cares?? Oh well...

    Faye, I just want to say thank you, thank you, thank you! I thoroughly enjoyed your class this morning, and I learned so much! I've made several attempts at couponing in the past, but I was too confused and disorganized to make it work. With your sound advice and encouragement, I think I'll succeed this time.

    Amomoftwo - I felt SOOOO badly that folks showed up and there was plenty of room in the classroom and they would not let them attend.

    I find it a quite confusing/disturbing that the community colleges are constantly asking taxpayers for more money yet they turn away paying students when the room capacity has not been reached. Things that make you go "HUH".
