Friday e-deals from Lowes Foods and Harris teeter

Posted June 24, 2011

What good deals did you get in your Friday e-mails from Harris Teeter and Lowes Foods today? I got a great buy on Bagel-fuls!

At Harris teeter, I got an e-Vic deal for Bagel-fuls: $1.66 each, limit 3 and I have .55/1 printable coupons = .56 each after coupon!  I think I printed them from a while ago because they expire 6/30.

The Smuckers snackable waffles will be free if you have the $1/2 q. They are Vic 2/$4.

You're welcome sorry they didn't have them. I see that item in all the grocery stores though so it would be odd that didn't stock them but maybe they will have them in stock before midnight next Tuesday? :-)

Thanks Shelllauren. I printed it then got to my Harris Teeter only to find that they had none. Not sure that they carry them because I could find a spot for them or an empty spot where they should have been. Oh well. I did pick up a few other things so I was happy.

Faye, are you getting emails from Lowes? They never send me one. I do get them from Harris Teeter and I sent an email to Lowes and they said they don't send out emails for their weekly deals or weekend deals. They actually called me to tell me that.

"i was told they double when the coupon said not to," - hillbillyspitfire

On the doubling of coupons that state DND or DNT - that is up to the store itself, no one can "cheat" that way. Some HT's double those and some do not, it's up to the store manager.

The corporate policy says that coupons that state Do Not Double "should" not double - odd wording but perhaps it is because they allow that decision on the store level.

Of the 5 different HT's I have shopped in, only two do not double those coupons, naturally I don't shop there :)

I understand about getting up early i have to get up at 3:30am so I can go, the closetest HT is an hour and 15 min, away from me,i have to go on the 1st day and im there by 6.00 so i can get the deals, i cant go every day. and there are people there that have been there most of the night waiting, and i learned alot this time on how people cheat the system,i was told they double when the coupon said not to, and how to look at the #s on the coupon to cheat and get things that its not even for, also how to get more than one card and how to use them at different times in the day and this was all from other , so this is the reason there is never anything left.

williamssusan .... if they're out, get a raincheck. I appreciate that it stinks RIGHT NOW, but at some time later, when YOU want the sale price not when THEY offer it, you can cash in on the deal.

HT offered Bounty 8 packs on sale for $5.99 about a month ago. I didn't NEED any right then, but I was shopping anyway, and if you can score a coupon that's not a bad deal. The store I was shopping at was OUT, and I got a raincheck. Now, I'm lower on paper towels than I was then, and it's SD, and I cashed in that raincheck today using a $1 off coupon.

It stinks when they're out of something you need, but if you stockpile the shelf stable stuff, it's can be GREAT when they're out of the good deal. No room for more of something, but it's just a great deal? Get a raincheck and make your own sale later.

williamsusan - I only got up early the first day on Wednesday. I also went to HT in the middle of the day on Thursday and again today to a different store at 3 pm and found enough to use 20 coupons. On the first day, the best stuff is gone early, but the stores restock all week so if you go on another day in the middle of the day, you may find the shelves much better stocked. It also depends on the store you shop. Which one do you go to?

I was at the Six Forks one yesterday and the Harrison one today and they both had pretty good stock on the stuff I wanted. You can also call your store and ask when the next truck is arriving so you go the next day. All is not lost if you don't get there the first day at 7 am.

I'll check on the Tide coupon - thanks for the heads up!
