Harris Teeter Super Doubles brag thread!

Now is the time to share your best deals and your great Super Doubles totals! Let's hear it - how did you do??

I shared my totals and a picture of the items I purchased today on the 12:30 news this afternoon. You can see the video of the segment below.

I bought $85.43 worth of product for only 85 cents!

Here are my totals:

Subtotal before sales and coupons: $85.43

Amount saved: $84.58

Amount paid: 85 cents!

I used a combination of manufacturer's coupons from the paper, printable coupons, coupons from in--store coupon containers and more. I also had a few free product coupons from contacting companies to request coupons. In addition, I used a Food Lion competitor's coupon for $5 off $25 purchase, which really helped get that total so low. The coupon was mailed to households in my area as part of a marketing promotion.

I can't wait to read your totals, hear about your experiences and find out your best deals!

I wasn't able to go but one time this time and that was yesterday afternoon. I spent $73.00 and saved $72.20, so about a 50% savings.

I did buy several things that were not on sale, but I had $1.00+ coupons that were going to expire so I went ahead and used them. I did not buy anything that I did not have a coupon for, though.

First trip: Saved $37.60 - Spent $22.41 (and that was forgetting to give the cashier my $.75 Tide coupon)

    Second trip: Saved $26.23 - Spent $3.88

Will be going back to several HT's to see if they have the Hungry Jack pancake mix and/or syrup, the Blue Bunny ice cream, and a few other odds and ends I have been looking for

What is the policy on using a manufacturer's coupon and register print out coupon for the same item? I know the one I got from the register want double. I thought you could use both, but not according to the HT cashier on Tryon.

Nancy - Thanks so much!! I'll try the Sunset Lake HT next time. :)

Faye - Just thought I'd give you a little shoutout to say that you're doing a great job.

mrschizzy - I have both of those coupons ($1/2 14oz Kraft dressing and $1/2 Kraft Mayo or Miracle Whip dressing) if you still need them. No clue how to get them to you before the end of Super Doubles. :) If you have a suggestion, just let me know!

Mindy-most stores do not get trucks on Friday/Saturday nights. I usually have luck finding "hot" items on Mondays. Good luck!

I am beginning to dislike the HT in Fuquay in Sexton Commons. They had nothing that I had planned to buy for Super Doubles. No Playtex, Reynold's wrap, Lea and Perrins worsterchire and the list goes on. Why do they not restock? The Reynold's and Glad storage shelves were completely empty.

I need a Kraft mayo and salad dressing coupon. I must have missed that in last week's paper or misplaced the SS insert! Can anyone help me find one? Thanks!

The HT on Ten Ten Road and Kildaire Farm in Cary DID double the 3 coupons I had that said DND yesterday. The customer service was also great at that store - very friendly folks!

Thanks again to everyone for posting their deals and experiences (especially regarding which stores are doubling DND's). Very helpful info from you all!

FYI - I made my second HT shopping trip of the week this most of what they didn't have for me on Wed. except the napkins. I asked at customer service and was told that those particular napkins were on closeout so they would not be getting any more of those in. This was at the McCullers Crossing HT. HTH!
