Cary's Polar Ice House is having an Open House on Saturday, June 18th from 1-4 p.m. There will be free ice skating, games, prizes, food and a special visit from the Carolina Hurricanes beloved mascot, Stormy!

Here is some more information about the event from their press release:

"Polar Ice House’s Cary location is hosting the open house for families to escape the summer heat and discover what Polar Ice House has to offer. There will be a DJ on-site to enhance the ice-skating experience as well as instructors offering mini-lessons to novice skaters.

Have a competitive side? There will be plenty of games to participate in such as a shoot-to-win contest and other family friendly games. Contestants will have a chance to win gift certificates valid for programs at Polar Ice House, such as learn-to-skate classes or a complimentary birthday party.

After working up an appetite on the ice, Polar will have free food on-site for all to enjoy. While eating, those interested can pick up tickets for door prizes, as well as socializing with Stormy and Polar Ice House’s own mascot, Icey. Guests can also browse through Polar’s game room, where local businesses, such as Ruckus, Monkey Joe’s, Rita’s, and Marmalade Skies, will have tables set up with information and an assortment of goodies.

“We are very excited to welcome families to our open house, we have spent a lot of time planning a jam packed day of activities for all to enjoy,” said Randy Lee, Polar Ice House’s general manager. “The open house is also a budget-friendly way for parents to spend the day with their kids.”
