Food Lion deals 6/8

Posted June 8, 2011

Food Lion is coming in strong with produce deals this week including green peppers for .69 each, peaches for .88/lb and a 2 lb bag of carrots for only $1.29. There are also very good buys on boneless chicken breast (only $1.77/lb), Wishbone dressing and more!

Food Lion Coupon Basics

Food Lion does not double coupons

They have no limits on number of coupons they will take, unless specified in the ad

BOGO items ring up at half price so if you only buy 1, it rings at half price. You can use a coupon on each BOGO sale item.

E-Coupons: You can now load manufacturer’s coupons to your Food Lion MVP card and when they scan your card at the register and you buy the qualifying items, the discount will come off automatically. I spoke with corporate and they confirmed that these are manufacturer’s coupons and not to be combined with hard copy manufacturer’s from the newspaper and other sources. She said their policy is only coupon per product. No e-coupons will double.

cokesburyfarm -- I know that you can go to multiple FL in the same day and get the limit at each one. I usually do that when they have BOGO Voila. And, since you can do that, that must mean it isn't tracked by your MVP card, just by the transaction at the time.

Also when you buy 2 Borden American cheese singles (they are 2/$4) you get a dozen eggs free.

There meal deal this week is buy 2 Marie Callender's Bakes and get 2 Birds Eye family size vegetables, 1 Coles Garlic Bread, and 1 Sara Lee pound cake. The Marie Callender bakes are around $6 each and there were $1 coupons in both the May and June All You magazine. Also coupons availiable for the garlic bread and Bird's Eye vegetables if you still have them.

When Food Lion says limit 4 as in the Charmin, is that 4 per day, per transaction or per week? Thanks

Sorry about that dkg - I forgot to put the great stock up price for the chicken! Ooops! It's $1.77/lb and I updated the original post. It is boneless skinless.

Topjenn - sometimes FL does a meal deal, but not every week.

Mommy2caleb - It is raw and only $1.77/lb!

etrudeau - I don't do skin either! LOL

  • queene01 Jun 8, 2011

Yes the chicken is raw. It depends on how many pounds you get but last time they had this on, I got about 3 big breast for about 4$

  • topjenn82 Jun 8, 2011

Does anyone know if FL does a meal deal?

  • Mommy2Caleb+Carly Jun 8, 2011

So the Holly Farms chicken is around $2-$3? It is raw, right? Think I might go get some!

  • mikke114 Jun 8, 2011

Thanks! There is just so much prep if you have to take the skins off and I'm really squeamish about raw chicken anyway haha!
