Nancy...I am interested in this spreadsheet thing...how do you do it???? Is it like a template or something you could email me??? Thanks in advance!

  • Nancy May 24, 2011

    Ok, done with triples!

This was my total combined shopping numbers for triples week:

    Total Goods Purchased: $641.51

    Coupons Redeemed: $359.75

    Store Sales Discounts: $115.89

    Spent Out of Pocket: $165.87

    Percentage saved: 77.08%

Seems like a lot, but looking at my spreadsheet since January 1st, the number for Harris Teeter only show spending an average $43 per week over the 20 weeks since January 1:

    Total Goods Purchased: $3,328.18

    Coupons Redeemed: $1,451.33

    Store Sales Discounts: $1,008.64

    Spent Out of Pocket: $868.21

    Percentage saved: 73.91%

I can live with that :)

Yes, the same cat deal as CVS, Walgreens and Rite Aid - catalina deals are usually advertised in their emails, that's where I saw it for HT

  • LAXMom12 May 24, 2011

I just stopped in at the HT on the way to pick up kids and I was able to find a few things that had been out of stock the whole time. Seems that all the time I have are these 30 minute quick stops to see if they have anything on my list. I found my ketchup and mustard (yeah! I was out), 2 Betty Crocker frosting and cake mixes, Kleenex Hand towels, and some Bounty (not the best deal but I was out). OOP=$6.09 I was hoping to find the Snyder's pretzel sandwiches but no luck. I kept running into the Frito Lay guy at both of my stops today. I told him we needed some good coupons for their products since he was stocking it up.

Ignore the trolls - as you can see by the screen name, it's someone who keeps making new screen names because they continually get kicked off ;)

btw, good job everyone! triples were fun for a change. now, if we could just get ht to regularly alternate triples and super doubles, we'd be set. ;)

only 2 HT tripling trips this week...on my 2nd trip i got some decent deals on tortillas, shaving gel, mandarin oranges, and mustard (probably better deals later but what if i need mustard before then!!) ;), but the best things i got were 2 50-cent heinz ketchup (sorry, don't know the exact size...medium-ish big?...the "natural" ones), 3 small jars of smucker's grape jelly FREE, and 6 regular size packs of m&m's FREE. :)

Why so mean?? Nancy is very helpful to everyone on this site!!

  • geoherb1 May 24, 2011

My total was $69 before coupons and VIC savings. I paid $21, about 30 percent of the original price. It would have been better (about 22 percent) if I had not spent $7 on things that I needed that I did not have coupons for.

There were a lot of things out of stock at the Cameron Village HT. I also had a lot of coupons that did not triple because they were $1 or more off and BOGOs.

Last Triples trip......(2)zone perfect bars, (2) Dove bar singles, 2lt diet dr pepper, MH field peas, (3) carl budding lunch meat packs, Snyder pretzel sandwichs and toilet paper

    Total $22.64.....OOP $4.08

I had a nice conversation with a gentleman in the store about my binder and scored FREE lunch meat so overall it was a great trip. :)
