I hope that you have a wonderful weekend too Faye! Thanks for all your hard work this week. I know it has been extra busy with triples! This daily deal post seems to be the place to pose daily questions that pop up as well, so here goes....I am wondering if there is a good place to learn more about coupon swaps. I'm not in the Raleigh area and don't know of any local swaps near me. I am thinking about hosting one of my own someday, but I am not exactly sure how these things work. Do you just put all the coupons on a table and let people grab what they want, or do you sit down and negotiate over them? I am especially concerned about what happens if you have a "hot" coupon that everyone wants. How do you decide who gets it, and how do you keep things fair overall? As usual, thanks in advance for any advice that you or the other bloggers have to offer!

I know most of us are at HT this week, but I swung by Lowe's Foods and picked up some great deals. Lowe's Foods at Brier Creek has $1.99 welch's grape jelly w/ $.55 coupon, it made the jelly 89 cents. I also purchased around $40ish dollars of Proctor & Gamble products, mostly body washes and lotions, for $1.99 each but I had 75 cent coupons for all items. This made the products 50 cents each. However, when you spend so much on P & G items, you get a $10 rebate card so I actually paid far less for each product. I haven't calculated my total for each item but for me 50 cents/ body wash is on the 'low-end' of my price range so I am content.

Anna, feel free to email me about setting up a coupon swap, I volunteered to organize two and we've been doing them since about January of this year, they run smooth and are lots of fun.

I would be happy to answer all your questions for you that might help you get a swap going :)

Thanks for helping Anna get her coupon swap started, Nancy! You are the swap queen! :-)

Thanks for posting your LF deals, misjespie!

Great Questions Anna ... I too have been curious as to how a swap works!

Oh, shopping yesterday with TotalChaos (which, by the was was NOT chaotic but FUN :) she had a raincheck for Cinnamon Burst Cheerios and coupons to match with those BUT the deal she got was even better than free boxes of cereal :) with her coupons!

The General Mills deal was buy 4 boxes of cereal and get $4 instant savings at the register! So pay attention to the shelf tags, I'm sure there are more General Mills deals in the store when you buy 4 of this or that!

WooHoo!

Faye, we had fun at our swaps yesterday - seems when the swaps dates are set, Harris Teeter comes up with a coupon event LOL

Does that mean that the next Harris Teeter event will happen within 24 hours of the next date set? If so, mark your calendars for June 21st LOL

We do our coupon swap a little differently. We have about 5 ladies at our church involved. Every week, each of us clips our own coupons. We keep the ones we want and set aside the ones we don't. I start the rotation, so I put the coupons I don't want into an envelope and pass it to the second person. The 2nd person takes any coupons they want out of the envelope and puts in the coupons they clipped that they do not want. This continues through all the ladies and the last person sends it back to me. We pass the envelope every Sunday. About once a month or so, I go through and take out all the expired coupons. When triples/super doubles come around, we all get together during the week and swap what we have. Just another idea! Hope it makes sense!

Nancy - I think you have broken the ht promo code! You are a genius! :-)

Did total bring her binder this time?! LOL
