Food Lion deals 5/18

Posted May 18, 2011

At Food Lion this week you'll find a great deal on grapes at .99 per pound! Other good buys include Gala apples, romaine lettuce, Red Baron pizza and more!

Food Lion Coupon Basics

Food Lion does not double coupons

They have no limits on number of coupons they will take, unless specified in the ad

BOGO items ring up at half price so if you only buy 1, it rings at half price. You can use a coupon on each BOGO sale item.

E-Coupons: You can now load manufacturer’s coupons to your Food Lion MVP card and when they scan your card at the register and you buy the qualifying items, the discount will come off automatically. I spoke with corporate and they confirmed that these are manufacturer’s coupons and not to be combined with hard copy manufacturer’s from the newspaper and other sources. She said their policy is only coupon per product. No e-coupons will double.

I hope everyone is checking their catalinas. I have a $1.00 off $4.00 of produce to make those produce deals even better.
Will be checking to see how the $1.50 off $7.00 frozen might work. Throw in the $3.00 off $25.00 and I don't feel bad I can't get to HT for triples!

Food Lion is really promoting their new look and higher quality produce, cleaner stores, etc. I have seen a number of commercials and info in their weekly sales ads for the last couple weeks about the new look of Food Lion.

I just wanted to share that I went to Food Lion tonight to pick up the produce deals (green leaf lettuce $1.29, apples .99/lb, grapes .99/lb) and was very pleased with their quality. We enjoyed the lettuce with our chicken tacos tonight and I just had a handful of grapes as my almost-midnight snack. They were both delicious and a great price. Food Lion - if you are listening - way to go! You had me at .99/lb produce!
