    Kroger issued resolved. They gave me the cash back for the amount of the coupons. Thank you for your support and words of wisdom.

    40andtired, Thanks for the encouragement. It is much needed! This incident also occured at the Kroger on Six Forks. So I guess the cashier must have been uninformed and not understanding. I really think she thought she was being helpful.

    Need some your expertise.If I'm in, say Harris Teeter, can I use a Target or other grocery store coupon? I have learned alot in the past few months but never been quite sure of using coupons meant for other specified locations.Thanks to All of you!

    Langley, I don't know which store you used but I had a $100 rx credit (4 prescription transfers)and I used coupons with no trouble (six forks kroger). When you feel up to it, battle it out with them. Good luck!!

    Thanks Faye. I was so tired after working all day and with health issues, I knew I could not take them on last night. I am calmer today and will see what I can resolve with the store manager. As I continue to have problems in the Kroger stores, it will be in my best interest to shop elsewhere. It is just not worth the frustration anymore. I will let you know the outcome. I appreciate your strategy/suggestions as I was so overwhelmed I could not think straight.

    They absolutely should have taken your coupons, langley. That is the most ridiculous excuse I have ever heard from a cashier. In the future, if something like that ever happens, ask very nicely to speak with the manager right then. If the situation is not resolved reasonably and you still feel that they are not handling it correctly, ask to call corporate while still in the store. I have only done this once (it was at a Kroger) and the manager decided he would in fact write me the raincheck (that he was refusing to issue) for an item on sale (but not in the flyer) instead of us calling corporate for clarification. Your next step now is to call the store and speak with the manager directly about the situation. He/she should offer to have you bring in your coupons and he should give you cash for them. Please let us know what happens. In addition, the cashier needs some serious training.

    My coupon buddies, please help calm me down. Another incident with Kroger. Do you guys suggest I contact corporate with this situation. Had $50.00 on Kroger card for script transfer. Wanted to use the $5.00 off the 10 items and my coupons. The cashier didn't use my coupons because I had free money on my card and I could use the coupons another time and save money. Please Please tell me if this logic makes sense. I found paper towels for 1.19 and had a 1.00 coupon and could have gotten them for .19. Because I was so angry, I didn't argue. I just got my stuff and left. My problems are always with Kroger. I welcome your comments, advice and if you guys think I'm over reacting. Ok, I'm off my soapbox again.
