Summer Fun on a Budget
Free bowling:
The Kids Bowl Free program includes 2 free games of bowling per day per child this summer! Participating bowling centers are offering this freebie as a way to give kids a safe and fun activity to do while they are out of school. This doesn’t include shoe rental. Free and cheap movies
Raleigh Grande 16 on Grove Barton Road: Enjoy a FREE movie every Tuesday and Wednesday at 10:00 AM starting on June 14. Click HERE for more details.
Regal Summer Movie Express: $1.00 G & PG movies at 10:00 am on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Click HERE for more details.
Carmike select theaters including Wilson, Fayetteville, Greenville $1 movies on Thursdays starting in June. See website for specific dates for specific theaters.  Click HERE for more details.
Blue Ridge Carmike Theater: Movies are always $1.50! Click HERE for more details.
Marquee Wakefield Cinemas will be having a 2011 summer movie program according to the website, but the details are not yet available.  Click HERE for more details.

As we get closer to June, more theaters should announce their summer programs and I’ll post the details when available.

Daily Deal Sites:

Daily deal sites including Groupon, Living Social, Moolala, and Twongo offer lots of great ½ price activities for kids and adults. They have offered deals for bounce house play places, go-karting, movie theaters, bowling, ice skating, ice cream places, tons of restaurants, beach rentals, mountain rentals, zip lines and more – all at 50% off or more from the regular retail price.

Bookstores:

Many bookstores have summer reading programs where you can get free books when you read over the summer. Many also offer weekly story times for the little ones. Once the stores start announcing their programs I’ll post them on the blog.

Drug store deals for the week

Great drug store deals this week through Saturday, May 14th. See the links in the box above for all the deals.

CVS deals: This week’s CVS deals include free Carefree and free Similac formula as well as good deals on brownie mix, Aussie shampoo and Dulcolax.

Rite Aid: This week at Rite Aid there are great deals on Carefree, Finesse, Tylenol Precise, Stayfree, Viactiv and more!

Walgreens: This week’s include FREE Nexcare bandages, Carefree liners and SunBurnt Gel as well as good deals on Colgate, Gillette Fusion razor, Pampers and more! AND Walgreens has a $5 coupon for Nature Made Calcium available on their Facebook page that will make some sizes FREE or close to it with the coupon!

Kroger is running the Mega Event promotion again this week through Saturday. Buy 10 participating items and get $5 off your total when you check out. Couple the sales with manufacturer coupons for some great buys!
