Wow! Thanks so much guys for the advice. Sounds like I'm not the only one showing up too late. That is encouraging. Rainchecks are the deal then and not to be in such a hurry to get the good deals right away. That's a really good tip too about shopping late, I'm not a morning person either. I had wondered about whether they got the loss leaders restocked once they sold out or not. I know that CVS doesn't restock until the following friday but I wasn't sure about the others.

Thanks again for the excellent advice guys!

momboozer...which Target did you get the eggs for .49cent? The Target on Grove Barton (lynn rd and 70) has them for .59 cent..and I was a happy shopper! Lol

Fun fact, did you know you can only load 75 ecoupons to your VIC card at a time?

I've been trying to figure out why it wouldn't let me load more, so I removed one just to see if that would change anything, and it let me load one, and only one, more.

Then I went to HT and an ecoupon came off at the store. When I got home it let me load one, and only one, more.

Then I counted, and I had 75 ecoupons loaded.

queene - I suggest to help you the most you look up the coupon policy for each grocery/drug store you plan to shop in. You can look them up online and print them out. Some are different than others so you'll want to understand each one.

And what you're reading here is Faye's Blog, several topics but this is her blog page :)

Target has 1 doz. large eggs for .49. I couldn't believe my eyes. Used my 2 .55 egg coupons and got 4 dozen.

At foodlion they have their farm snacks- buy 2 get one free. If I only buy 1, will it be 1/3 off the price? I know when they are buy one get one, they are half price, wasn't sure about the buy 2 get 1 free.

    does anyone know?

Where is Faye's daily blog? Yes I need to buy the DVD or go to a workshop for sure! A friend of mine saw her at the southern womens show & loved it!!!

    tldavids, frequently I don't.

Let us take, for instance, the money maker denture products at HT this week. As soon as I saw the ecoupon, I loaded it, grabbed my binder and RAN to the store. And they were out. Two words: rain check.

Rain checks are like making your own sale. Now, I truly hope the denture stuff is back in stock before the ecoupon expires, but if it isn't, no worries. I'll find a coupon later that makes it free or a great deal, and I'll get it then.

As to how *I* get product actually in stock ... I go to a 24 hr HT and as much as is practical only shop from 9 pm on. HT restocks bit by bit all day, but at night they restock a lot. Some people shop in the morning for good stock, I shop WHILE they're restocking because I'm just not all that interested in putting my game face on THAT early in the day if I don't have to.

tldavids- from what I have seen a lot of times they are out of things especially the freebies or really good deals. However, you can generally always get a rain check from the store. I know the usual times I can never find items are at the drug stores and Walgreen's told me they do not do rain checks however I think on here people have said they do. So that I am not sure on.

Thanks for the info Nancy but the question really was "how do you guys get to the deals before they sell out?" I keep showing up with 24 hrs of hearing about a deal only to find a shelf cleaned out of the product.
