Wednesday weigh-in

It's Wednesday and if you are participating in our weight-loss challenge, that means it's time to jump on the scale and measure your progress. How did you do this week?

I lost 2 more pounds for a total of 18.5 lbs. lost since the challenge started 8 weeks ago. My goal was to do at least 30 minutes of exercise every day in the last  week. I was able to get in 30-45 minutes per day for 6 days in the last week, so I am pleased.

If you are new to the Wednesday weigh-in, a number of us are doing a 25 lb. weight loss challenge. Even if you only have 5 or 10 lbs to lose or you have 50 lbs to lose, please join in! It's never too late to start taking better care of yourself.  As we all know, it's more frugal to be healthy than to deal with all the medical issues (and medical bills) associated with obesity.

I am not following any special plan that requires packaged (ie expensive) meals, calorie/point tracking or any other packaged weight loss program. I am just eating better and exercising more. Less food, higher quality food, more raw food, less processed food and more movement. It's a pretty basic formula and is working like a charm.

I am setting a goal for this week of 6 days of exercise (mostly walking).  What are your goals for the next week?

Let's hear it - how did you all do this week? How much exercise were you able to get?

    Great job taw!

There's always this week - pss - good thinking on tossing the candy. ;-)

Brassy - I hope you are feeling better since your surgery. You definitely have an excuse for not exercising.

I got in a 50 minute walk with the family this evening. The kids kept up a good pace so we all had a nice little workout.

Lost 13 lbs since we've started this challenge. this week was hard with the Easter goodies, but didn't gain a pound! Thanks Faye! walking is great!

Good job ladies! The Easter Bunny bit me big time...up 2lbs this week! I tried to do well but guess it didn't work. Oh well, time to refocus and have a MUCH better week. I also tossed the remaining Easter candy so I don't have the temptation.

I haven't given up yet :) I've maintained the weight I reached 3 weeks ago. I've exercised I think four times. The day before the baby's shots, the day after her fever broke, and then every other day until my nose surgery. I'm allowed to walk now and might try tomorrow.

That's a lot of calories burned per day, destiny!

My goal this week is to walk or do some form of exercise (maybe even find my way to the gym - LOL) for at least 30 minutes each day. Tonight I walked with the kids, hubby and the dog and it was a beautiful evening!

Faye thanks! I started with weight watchers and mastered the plan and I follow that. I also go to the gym daily where my goal is to burn 1000 calories a day. Sometimes that happens other days it is 800 but I never leave until I do at least 800.
