Tornado benefit at Crabtree Valley Mall

Published: 2011-04-22 11:46:20
Updated: 2011-04-22 11:46:20

Crabtree Valley Mall is partnering with The Salvation Army to help tornado victims next Tuesday and Wednesday. Here are the details from the e-mail I received:

"THE SALVATION ARMY PARTNERS with CRABTREE VALLEY MALL TO AID VICTIMS OF WAKE COUNTY TORNADOES

The Salvation Army is partnering with Crabtree Valley Mall to aid victims of the tornadoes that touched down on Saturday, April 16th in the Wake County area.

Currently, the biggest need is for financial aid; monetary donations will be accepted at the Customer Service booth over the next several weeks. Every dollar raised supports the tornado relief efforts of the Salvation Army of Wake County.

On Tuesday, April 26 & Wednesday, April 27, The Salvation Army will provide a box truck in the Sears parking lot from 10:00am-6:00pm. Non-perishable foods and items such as baby formula, diapers, hygiene products, cleaning supplies and other similar goods will be accepted. Donations will be given directly to families who have been affected by the storms.

Thanks for your support!"

Thanks for the heads up (again!), Faye!

And don't forget the Buy 2 Get 3 Free Del Monte canned veggies at both Harris Teeter and Lowes. I get the reduced sodium variety for those who have health concerns...don't want to add to their woes and high blood pressure.
