Kids bowl free this summer!

Posted April 12, 2011

The Kids Bowl Free program includes 2 free games of bowling per day per child this summer! Participating bowling centers are offering this freebie as a way to give kids a safe and fun activity to do while they are out of school.

The folks at Rainbow Lanes in Clayton contacted me yesterday to let me know that they are participating.  The Alley in Raleigh and Westview Lanes in Wilson are also participating. There may be other lanes added to the program so check back again if your local lane is not listed.

The program starts May 1st and you will need to register the kids online so they can get their bowling coupons. The coupons will be loaded into your online account and you can print them each week.

There is also a family pass option that you can purchase so adults can bowl all summer as well at a reduced cost. The Family Pass starts from $24.95 and includes 2 games per person per day. The pass covers up to 4 adult family members. You may have 1, 2, 3, or 4 adults on the family pass. The price of the pass covers all 4 members, according to their website.

There are more details on the website HERE.

To busyb97, check the website they usually have really cheap prices on the kids bowling shoes, and they will run specials like free kids bowling bags with purchase of (varies). We bought our daughters for under $30.00 and there were cheaper ones.

Also, the bowling alley in Goldsboro is also participating.

This is a great deal....BUT, I did it one year, and was shocked at just the cost to rent shoes! For the 3 of us to bowl (my two kids and myself), I think I was dropping close to $15+ just to rent the shoes. So to me, it's not free....just a little bit cheaper, and only worthwhile if you plan on going often enough. I couldn't justify the $15+ each time for "Free" bowling.
