Wednesday weigh-in

Posted March 30, 2011

It's the end of week three of the 25 lb weight loss challenge and it's time to share your results. How did you do?

I lost another 2 lbs this week! That makes a total of 7 lbs lost since the challenge started 3 weeks ago and 12 lbs lost since the beginning of February.

I got a little more exercise this week in the form of walking. This cold rainy weather isn't very inviting today, though. Although I am still eating very well, I need to up the exercise even more (didn't I say that last week?). Can someone please add an additional 2 hours to each day for exercise and quiet time? Pretty please?

My goal for next week is 3 lbs lost. Since I will be at the Southern Women's Show Friday through Sunday, I figure I won't have any time to eat anyway! LOL

I had a delicious breakfast today with 1/2 cup Egg Beater eggs (free with coupon from the Walmart sign up weeks ago), 1 Morningstar veggie sausage link, 1/2 cup mushrooms sliced and sauteed and 1 cup spinach sauteed (no oil or butter used). Total calories: 150, 15 grams protein, 3 gr fat., 100% tasty!

If you are new to the challenge, click on the link in the box above for the original post.

Well, how did you do???? What worked, what didn't?

    Hi Everyone,
I'm a little late this week, was out of town for my wedding anniversary. I lost 4 pounds in the last week!!! I love weight watchers so far and feel so much better about myself. Hopefully this post baby flab will be gone soon! Great job everyone!

Thanks, guys, I am 1.5lb down today! I've now lost 29lbs out of 45lbs gained with the baby. She's old enough for the gym daycare now so I can exercise anytime (and catch up on my reading).

Welcome to the fun, qponmom! I love almonds but I have little willpower with nuts so I could never keep a whole bag of them in arms reach! LOL

FYI to anyone looking for a frugal, easy healthy snack food: Harris Teeter is still running the carrots deal. The 2 lb bag is $1.47 for the whole carrots. I wash and peel 1/2 a bag at a time so they are ready to eat whenever I get a little hungry.

Im starting this week, need to make some healthy changes/ better food choices myself. Instead of heading to the vending machine for a morning/afternoon snack at work, I have a bag of whole almonds on my desk and when I get the urge to snack I just grab a handful of those. Theyre pretty filling and healthy too!

0 pounds this week, too. But at least I didn't gain! : )

brassy, sometimes when you plateau it helps to shake things up. Kick the work out up a notch. Fast for a day. Something.

I've heard people swear by green smoothies for breakfast when dieting. Never had one myself, I prefer my greens doused with oil and vinegar.

Great job wralfan! I love any veggies in wraps and the spinach in whole wheat wraps sound great. That may be on the menu next week. :-)

The thing that works awesome is stirfried greens like spinach/kale/Collards with whole wheat wraps from Samsclub

You are so right, brassy. It does take time and you can only do so much (especially with a little one in tow). Hang in there and keep it up!
