Harris Teeter Super Doubles brag thread!

Posted March 23, 2011

Here's the place to share your fabulous Harris teeter Super Doubles totals and let us know about your experience.  I won't be shopping until this evening but I'll post my totals tonight.

Update: Here is my total from the shop I was finally able to do this evening at about 6:00 PM at the HT in Cary on Walnut and Tryon. Everyone is so nice at that store and I had no issues at all. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they were well stocked on the items I was hoping to find.

Subtotal before sales and coupons: $69.17

Amount saved: $62.57

Amount paid: $6.60

% Saved: 91%

Items I purchased:

1 Kashi Go Lean Crisp cereal on sale for $3 - $1 coupon from Vocalpoint mailer

2 Gain dish liquid on sale for $2 - $1 coupon from P&G coupon book

2 Dickinson's preserves sugar free on sale for $2.09 - $1 in-store display coupon from months ago = .09 each!

1 Dickinson's preserves (not sugar free) $2.99 - $1 coupon = .99

1 Uncle Ben's ready rice $2.25 - $1 insert coupon = .25

3 Arrid extra dry on clearance for $2.09 - $1 coupons I received from contacting the company to request coupons back in November = .09 each!

3 DanActive yogurt drinks $2 - $1 insert coupon = FREE

2 Guacamole $2.29 - $1.50 printable coupons = FREE

1 Danonino $2 - $1 insert coupon = FREE

2 Smart Balance fat free lactose free milk $3 - $1.50 insert coupon = FREE

2 Oscar Mayer deli turkey $3 each - $1 peelie coupons that a friend gave me = $1 each

2 Chef boyardee low fat ravioli = FREE using coupons from a Walmart freebie I posted weeks ago

8 oz mushrooms on clearance for $1.01 (but in perfectly good shape and not even close to going bad)

The picture of the items I bought is above. You may also notice the 18 count Cottonelle toilet paper, 6 count Scott paper towels and box of CVS granola bars in the photo. They were all free today at CVS using a CVS gift card that I received when I transferred a prescription last week! The regular price on those items is $24.77. They were all on sale and would have cost $17.34 with sales and coupons. But with the gift card, they were all free.

So my grand total for the day with HT and CVS is $93.94 worth of products for $6.60, a 93% savings!

For the record, I LOVE HARRIS TEETER and CVS!

HT saved almost 50% again today spent $36, saved $32, got 17cent smuckers simply fruit strawberry jam (yea, no HFCS!), sara lee cheesecake for $3.50, 2 starbucks coffee for $5.99 each (but save each bag on the side it says to turn in the bag for free small cup of coffee at starbucks - i already redeemed one last week with no problems), free danonio yogurt, 19 cent international delight coffee creamer, baileys coffee creamer for 50cents each (had a catalina i think its called), coffeemate creamer for 57cents...yes, i was out of coffee creamer and we drink 3 cups a day so coffee and creamer keep us going! i also had a $1 off shopping order for purchasing 3 kellogs items last week (i think that promotion goes through the wknd). thats about it for this happy, coffee addicted mom! yay!

today was my round 2 of super doubles, i don't have as much to brag about but saved 50% (saved $48 and spent $50) so in my book that's a small victory! this super doubles round i really had to get some things i could not avoid so my % saved wasnt as good as last time they did SD. but, i did get free danimals crush cups, $1 for smart balance milk and four carl buddig meats for 50 cents each and buy 1 get 2 free strawberries. thanks for changing the way i grocery shop Faye! it's still much more savings than i used to net and to me, every bit helps!

While I did well in HT today, I also took a friend. Some of you have heard me talk about her, a lot, and I finally got her to commit to a shopping date. She tried to dodge, saying her coupons weren't in order. I told her I'd bring all the coupons, she just needed to pick out her products.

She grabbed a few things that weren't bad deals, but I didn't have coupons for. Her total came to $32, but we tendered $77 in coupons. Don't recall the VIC savings. Not a bad trip, and she left, quite literally, with a full cart.

Now I just have to pay her a visit and get her to sign up for eVIC. That would have been an extra $3 off her order (Philly Cooking Cream deal stacking, FTW).

saw where some are asking about coupon swaps. Don't know where everyone lives, but we have on in Wilson County. We meet at a house in Lucama right now.
