Time to get those coupons clipped and ready! I have confirmation that Harris Teeter will be Super Doubling starting March 23!  My source is very reliable so I am confident the promotion will happen. If I hear otherwise, I will post it right away.

I will start working on a good deals list, but feel free to post any deals you know of using current coupons and regular prices or sales that will last during SD on this thread. I will move them over to the good deals thread once it is posted.  There will 2 coupon inserts in the 3/20 paper. You can see a preview HERE from SundayCouponPreview.com. Although all our coupons won't be identical, many will be the same.
Coupon policy during Super Doubles

* HT begins super doubling coupons at 7:00 AM on the first day of the sale. 24 hour stores do not super double coupons before 7:00 AM on the first day (at least that is how it has worked in the past).

* HT will Super Double coupons worth up to $1.98 face value. A $1.50 coupon will double to $3.00. A $1.00 coupon will double to $2.00. A $2.00 coupon will not double at all and will only be taken at face value ($2.00).

* HT will super double/double up to 20 coupons per day. Period. End of story. Spouse's cards registered with the same address are linked because the policy is 20 per household, per day. Your card will not let you double more than 20 per day so you can;t go to multiple stores and do 20 per day with the same card. If you have 20 $1 coupons and 20 .75 coupons, only 20 total will double. They will not double 20 under $1 coupons and super double another 20 coupons that are over $1.

* HT policy is to double up to 3 identical coupons (as long as you buy the product required for each coupon, of course). So, if you have five $1.00 coupons for a product, the policy is to only super double the first three.

Regarding using multiple VIC cards to get away with doubling more than 20 coupons per day:  For those of you who have been on the blog since the beginning, you have already heard this so really it's for newer couponers who might not be aware of the policy.

How many times have you been to Harris Teeter during a Super Doubles or Triples event only to find the shelves bare the product gone? How frustrating is that? What about seeing someone with a cart full of the product you were hoping to get 2 of because they are going to use multiple cards (from friends and other family members) and do multiple shops?

During every Super Doubles event, there are a few folks who post about using multiple cards so they can double more than 20 coupons per day.  The HT policy is 20 coupons doubled per household per day.  The fact is, it's clearly against the policy to double more than 20 per day, so I can't condone it.  Please don't post about using more than 20 doubled coupons per day, either. I don't ever want this blog to be a place where people think they can learn how to cheat the system.  If you try to do multiple shops in the same store, many stores will stop you and explain the policy and not let you do another shop with super doubled coupons. I know the Fuquay store on main street stopped people all the time who tried to get away with more than 20 per day.

Going once per day is the more ethical way to shop, is in line with the store coupon policy and allows others to have a chance to get some of the deals. If you are shopping for other families to help them out, that's wonderful! Bring them with you and they can use their own cards and you can teach them these techniques so they can be more self-sufficient and you don't have to break the rules for them.

I have spoken with many managers and customer service supervisors and they know the couponers who try to get away with breaking the rules. And they watch them closely.  If we work within the coupon policies, the stores are much more likely to continue these events, which benefits everyone.  Enough of the soapbox....time to cut some coupons!

Happy Day!
