Wednesday weigh-in

It's the end of week one of the 25 lb weight loss challenge and it's time to share your results. How did you do?

I'm pleasantly surprised that I lost 2 lbs this week, despite the pizza episode while moving on Sunday. It's always nice to reinforce that you can have a little splurge as long as you keep the rest of the week's meals in check.  I am sure that carrying boxes up and down stairs for days has helped as well.  I didn't get in much formal exercise this week as every free moment seems to be taken up with this move, but I'll have time to head to the gym tomorrow morning.  Watch out treadmill, here I come!

The biggest change I have made this week is not snacking after dinner. If I get hungry at night, I just have a few honey wheat pretzels (Walmart brand are really good), a hard boiled egg white or some fruit.  No more chips or cookies. Seems to be working and I am looking forward to seeing next week's numbers after throwing a little more exercise into the mix.

    Congrats to all of us for a great first week! I have decided to take the plunge and join WW to help me with my lifestyle change! Hope to see a difference before swimsuit season, yikes.

    Looks like 2 is the magic number this week! Congrats ladies! My cranberry almond oatmeal was so yummy this morning!

    RCC - Did you homeschool? My graduating class was only 100 but the small class size made us all closer I think. Can't wait for the reunion!

    First half of the week I did really well. Not so much the past few days. Still, I lost 2 lbs this week. I had chinese food at lunch today so I hope all the salt didn't cause me to gain the two lbs back!

    I think I may be more jealous that you have a reunion to go to. I was in a graduating class of 3.

    brassy - I posted last week about my quest to lose 25 lbs before my 25th reunion this summer and asked if anyone wanted to join me in getting to a healthier weight. A number of people jumped in and now we are having a weekly "weigh-in". Well, it's more like a tell how much you lost because nobody I know is posting their actual weight - including me! LOL

    Feel free to join us and post how much you lose each week, any frustrations, succeses, what's working, favorite frugal healthy meals and snacks, etc.

    Congrats to everyone on their weight loss this week! Happymomma - you are rocking it!

    I enjoyed a delicious creamed spinach, rice and imitation crab dinner tonight. A side of cantaloupe topped it off.

    You guys have a weigh-in every Wednesday? I've lost at least 1lb, maybe 2. I'm doing a lot of walking, but we seem to have an overstock of candy from a recent sale at Walgreens :)

    haha! i have been on the latter stages of a course of prednisone at the ball fields (stubborn sinus infection or whatever) and i did have to be very conscious of not over-agitating myself!
