I am a bit lost. Is there a page that tells what all these abbreviations are? What is UP and VV? I have never really shopped at Rite Aid but some of these deals sound pretty good!

creation, I didn't want cash back. The overage to cover other stuff I was getting would have been nice but I'd have settled for free product. I've done it before in that RA with no trouble, but that particular cashier gives me a hard time. Intersection of 50 and Timber.

Still not the worst RA I've ever been in. That would be Fifth Ave in Garner. Their shift manager doesn't even try to hide how anti-couponer she is.

The Keri Q is in the 1/9 insert. That was an exceedingly good week for Qs, and I grabbed 8 papers that week. :D

raleighcitizenshipclasses...I also had RA (on 70 in Clayton) refuse to accept my manufacturer's coupon because I would have gotten money back. She said it was illegal to do so. I can't imagine Walmart would do something illegal like give cash back and their new policy states they will give back change. I have never had this problem with RA before. I am going to try another store if I go past one before the sale is over.

triplett, I can't honestly recall, I believe it was part of a booklet received or some other source (in product perhaps?) because it was not an insert coupon.

Nancy, where is the $1/2 dixie plates coupon coming from?

  • Oxymoron02 Mar 8, 2011

I actually had a Rite Aid refuse to take a manufacturer's coupon because it would cause overage once. I was not amused. I don't frequent that Rite Aid much unless there are freebies to be had that don't involve coupon overages.

Every other Rite Aid I've been in, including the one a mile up the road from that one that was more than willing to take the same coupon I had just been told I couldn't use, has never given me any problems with overage.

momboozer, it sometimes takes a while to figure out the best way to work the deals at RA because of all the coupons you can stack.

And with the $3/$15, I had to make each transaction hit $15 with ad priced items before factoring in my coupons. It was a crazy sheet of paper when I got done LOL

Nancy - Thanks for the clarification. After doing the videos I now have more q's than ever. Trying to match the deals has left my head swimming. Plus having several $3 survey prints; I have to group things. I still gets a little confusing sometimes.

momboozer, yes they will. The reason is if you look at your VV coupon and the matching product in-ad coupon, the scan numbers are different and the register treats them as unique.

And yes, the Dixie plate deal is fabulous :) There is the $5 in-ad, plus the $5 VV and I even added a $1 manufacturer coupon off two packages, so $11.00 off the $11.97 for three packages.

BUT, since I qualify for the 20% discount, each package of plates only rang up at $3.19, totaling $9.57 and I used all $11 off, which the 'overage' counted against other items I bought, reducing their costs :)

Disregard that the in-ad coupons say Manufacturer Coupon, you will note the scan bar and code show RA following by a series of numbers. The manufacturer may reimburse the store, but they are not considered MQ at the register.

My neighbor and I both did the Dixie plates deal and others will the VV/in-ad coupon and MQ stacked :)
