Kmart is kicking it in this week. They are starting a new double coupons promotion on Thursday, 2/17 for 10 days. The best part is that there is no minimum purchase required and no limit on the number of coupons you can use!

I just confirmed with the Garner location that Triangle area stores (including Rocky Mount) are participating in this event. Just to be sure, call your local store before you head over. I was told that the Raleigh stores on Western Blvd, Capital Blvd and Six Forks are participating as well as the stores in Garner, Cary, Durham and Rocky Mount.

Here are the policies for this event:

Double coupons with a face value of .99 or less (so .75 coupons double to $1.50)

No limit on total you can double

No minimum purchase required

Coupons will only double up to the price of the product. There is no overage.

Important: This is an issue that the manager said is very confusing and wanted to make sure we all understood. If you have a coupon that requires you to purchase more than 1 item (like a coupon for .75 off 2 items), the coupon will only double up to the price of the first item. It will NOT fully double up to the price of both items. So, if you are buying an item that costs $1.00 and you have a coupon for .75/2, you must buy 2 of the item to use the coupon. The coupon will only double up to the amount of one of the items which is $1. So, your total after coupon would be $1 for 2 items (.50 each). Clearly, it is better to use coupons that are good on 1 product and do not require you to buy 2 products to use them.

The manager with whom I spoke said they will take and double printable coupons, although I have heard that not all stores will. Keep that in mind.

So - post your totals and good deal finds here. I am going to try to make it to Kmart tomorrow to scope out the prices and I will let you know what I find.
