Thanks Nancy - I actually made it today. I just magically seemed to happen. Now what to spend it on. Hmmmmm especially since you have to spend it all in one purchase.

I also found an unadvertised deal at RA today. Kelloggs Frosted Flakes (14 oz) were listed as on sale for $2.22. What wasn't advertised was $1 +up rewards per box. Add a $1/2 coupon and I got 4 boxes for $.72 per box.

momboozer - look at the circular for RA, you will see, in a blue bubble "Buy & Save" - those are the items that will add to your $100 total you need. And the price it rings in (before coupons and any other discounts) is what goes toward the $100 total.

It adds up quickly - look for items that are marked Buy & Save AND that offer UP rewards and you have manufacturer coupons for and you can really get something for next to nothing :)

I just ordered an economy pack of Pampers on Amazon for $10. http://thethriftycouple.com/2011/01/26/amazon-as-low-as-free-diapers-and-really-cheap-delivered-to-your-door-scenarios/

Can anyone tell me how the Winter rewards are added up for Rite Aid? I am almost at $100 but I do not know what to buy to get me there? Does RA use the sale price before +up rewards or after rewards? I only have 1 more week of ads.

I saved $7 by looking on Amazon before finalizing a purchase. The product I needed was sold on its website with $6.99 shipping. I went to Amazon to see if it was sold there. Yes, it was. The prices were just pennies apart and there was $0.00 shipping.

Thanks Faye--and FYI, CVS honors ALL competitors prescription coupons, even those for new prescriptions! CVS, here I come...with my Target coupon...

Kmart has a Smart Assist savings program for unemployed customers. One would get 20% off regular priced grocery and drugstore products(KMART'S HOUSE BRANDS)for 6 months. It's good even if you get a job soon after joining the program.

Most stores should be at 50% off today. In 2-3 days they will be at 75% off. Target, Walmart and the drug stores usually have the most leftover so there are better choices once it hits 75% off. It varies from store to store though. One Target may not have anything left and another may have tons of stuff. This is a great time to stock up on Valentine's cards for the kids classes for next year as well as chocolate (to freeze and cook with later, of course!).

Does anyone know which stores have the biggest reduction in Valentine candy/items? Thanks.
