The “spend $100 and get $20 back” promotion is still going on through February 26. Look the for Buy and Save symbol on specially marked products all over the store.

MQ: $1/2 Pringle coupons from 1/30 and 1/16, .50/2 Chex Mix coupons from 1/30 and 1-2

One of my favorite deals with this snack +UP deal is the Edy's ice cream. They are sale for $2.99 AND there is a $2 +UP on them. In addition to the $2 +UP per item, you will also get a $5 +UP when you buy $15 worth total. So here is my plan:

Buy 5 Edy's at $2.99 each
Buy 1 Lays Stax for $1 (or you could get 1 7Up for $1 or 1 Gatorade 32 oz for $1)
Total at register $15.95 plus tax
Earn $10 +UP for EDY's and $5 +UP for buying at least $15
Total after +UPs and sale = .95 (.16 each!)

Even if you don't want to buy 5 Edy's to get the $5 +UP, you can still buy just 1 Edy's for $2.99 and get back $2 +UP which makes it .99 after +UP - a good buy for 1.5 QT.

FYI...I got some bonus $1 +UPs today with the Game Day deal. I bought Dixie plates and bowls BOGO, 2 bags of Chex Mix, 2 Pringles, and 2 Edy's ice creams = $15.97 before coupons - $3/2 VV coupon for the Dixie stuff, two .50 VV coupons for Chex Mix, .50/2 Chex mix man. coupon, $1/2 Pringles coupon = $10.47 and I got $11 +UPs back ($5 for doing the deal, two $2 for the ice cream and two $1 that I wasn't expecting - they say food grp on them.)

I also did the BOGO Stayfree and it worked fine, but the cashier said the max value of the coupon was 6.00, so I ended up getting 2 packs for .99.

Combined that purchase with the game day stuff so I could use my $4/$20 VV coupon and I ended up paying $8.53 out of pocket and got $11 in +UPs!

I picked up 5 containers of Edy's ice cream today including 3 that had 20% more (1.8 qt) They were out of the Lays stacks so I got a Pringles one instead. Not as good a deal because no $1 +UP on it but still yummy. They also have a little Christmas clearance left at 90% off including some cute holiday wine bags for .29 on sale. I spent $18.03 with tax for 5 ice cream containers, 1 Pringles stax and 4 giftbags regularly priced at $2.99 each. I received $15 in +UPs for my next order so after rebate, the total was $3.03 for 10 items (.30 per item - not too bag!). Guess I am back to doing Rite Aid +UP deals since I now have $15 in +UPs to roll. I am thinking there is some free Colgate and contact solution coming my way later this week.

The RA at Leesville and Strickland is great...also the one on 54 in Durham near Woodcroft.

RCC - It's so hit or miss with RA rainchecks, isn;t it?! Some stores give them, some stores don't for +UPs items. I am on hold right now with corporate to see if they have a policy about rainchecks anywhere, especially how rainchecks for +UPs items should be handled. The CSR's initial response was that it is up to the managers, but she is checking for clarification..... waiting.....waiting.... OK - her answer is that is it based on the management of the store. Basically, you have to find a raincheck friendly store.

Mirror mirror on the wall...who is the raincheck friendliest of them all?

    Any suggestions?

dkg - read the drug store reward program details here for the difference between the 2. The link is also on the front page of the blog in the Drug Store rewards box:

SCR = monthlt Single Check Rebate that gets mailed to you after purchasing qualifying items.

+UP = instant rebate that prints out at end of receipt just like CVS Extra Bucks.

There are more details at the link I post above.

I really hate to ask, but the Rite Aid closest to my house is ... not so great.

Dare I ask, fine ladies, which Rite Aid do you frequent?

Also, I've looked online but not found one. What *is* their raincheck policy? I've gone to 3 different Rite Aids and been told 3 different things.

I ventured in RA this morning to take advantage of the Eddy's ice cream deal. I ended up leaving with 2 color ink cartridges. Got them on clearance self. Regular price for 2 $105. 98. I paid $21.18. WOW uummmm....yeah...forgot the ice cream! lol

  • dkg0502 Jan 31, 2011

what is SCR and what is the difference between that and the +UP?

  • Trickat Jan 31, 2011

Upon further inspection of my receipt, they rang up 3.99 each - that's more than half price since the original price was 6.49. Since I already gave these to my Mom and I don't normally drive back for less than $5, I'm gritting my teeth and letting it go...especially knowing the managers at my Rite Aid are spectacular and they'll make it up to me in the future =)

I've added hot chocolate mix to my coffee this morning, so it's all good!
