Harris Teeter deals 1/19

Posted January 19, 2011

There are lots of good BOGO deals this week as well as $2.99 tilapia! Deals valid January 19 - January 25, 2011.

Harris Teeter Coupon Policy Basics:

Doubles coupons .99 or less everyday

Doubles up to 20 coupons per day

Doubles up to 3 identical coupons (must have required product to go with each coupon)

BOGO sales ring up at half price. If you just buy one, it still rings up at half price. The policy states that you can only use ONE coupon on a BOGO deal. So, if you buy 2 items that are BOGO, you can only use one coupon total.

oh, geri, meant to add, as to saving the high dollar coupons for such an event - only if using it beforehand doesn't get you the best deal!

Since we never know what will be on sale during the coupon events, sometimes saving a high value coupon doesn't necessarily save you more if someone else had the item on sale and you could have gotten a good-for-you price.

    It's somewhat of a gamble :)

I will tell you though, that if you have a high value coupon and it has a long enough expiration date, if HT puts that item on sale at any point and they're out of it, ask for a raincheck for the sale price and then clip your high value coupons to that raincheck to hold for the next super doubles event, then you can get the sale price and double those coupons :)

geri- usually the coupon events at HT are every 4-6 weeks apart. So since there was just one Jan 5th-11th, that would mean we can expect the next one mid February, if their pattern is repeated as it has been over the last several cycles.

    Hope that helps :)

Faye, don't know if have highlighted Harris Teeters AWESOME deal on flu shots before and I just completley missed it, BUT... you can get a FREE flu shot at the Falls of Neuse Rd Harris Teeter Pharmacy!! Here's the fine print -- You pay $12.95 for the flu shot (an awesome price by itself) and you get a coupon for $12.95 for use on your next grocery order!! Before you make a special trip for this deal, call ahead and make sure the pharmacist on duty that day is certified to give the shots. I'm headed back there this morning to get my shot.

Is there a cycle for when HT does their double double or triple coupon deals? Do you usually save your > 1.00 for these times?

  • mntruax Jan 20, 2011

Faye, I did not realize that. I used it, and it was taken, so I did not even catch that! Wow. I am shocked the coupon worked.

Hmm Nancy, now that is a thought. lol Kidding people. Don't want the pet police after me. My cat is not picky at all...except Whiskas. Not sure why, but he hates that stuff. When I give him Whiskas, he looks at the bowl, sits down, looks at me like...Come on, this again...really...? Then I get this loud, quick MEOW, and he walks off like, talk to the but! lol

raleigh, I sympathize with you. My brother and SIL's dog has to get special food from the vet, little Samantha (7 lbs) has digestive issues in her old age and what they pay for the special food is so high :( No coupons either!

  • Nancy Jan 19, 2011

total - tell the cats dog food is really not much different :) You never know, they may not notice?LOL

Total, send me the brand of cat food(s) and snacks you like coupons for so I can add that to my list of "Save for Total!" :) Seriously, you know I'm making my 'piles' for sharing!

    Life is good, total! :-)

ssg - thanks for the Kraft link. Hopefully hubby will be home with printer ink before the prints are all gone!

mntruax - The printable $1 coupon on the Classico site is for the 44 oz jars. The ones on sale this week are the jars up to 24 oz so the coupon is not valid on those. Sorry. But thank you for posting!
