We just moved our biologically 21 year old, but cognitively 7-8 year old daughter, to a group home 2 hours from our home. Having her come home for Christmas was so special. Here was this child we would never see off to college like most parents get to do. But she was returning "home for the holidays" just like a college student would be doing. It was kind of bittersweet. I miss her everyday but know she's in a GREAT place!

My favorite memory of this year would be shopping for groceries for a sick/needy woman. I even used coupons on almost everything. I also threw a gift card for the grocery store in there as well. It just makes you feel good to do such simple acts for others.

I helped shop for children that would otherwise not have a Christmas and it really warmed my heart to know that I was helping children. It's what Christmas is all about.

We took our kids at church for a fantastic time at Lazy O Farms in Smithfield. It was awesome!

I took my husband on a Sandy style shopping spree...he was laughing all the way. He thinks I am funny when I shop, because of the ways I think to save money.

I occasionally catch him putting things in the basket and ask how much he is paying for the product. He rolls his eyes and says he does not know. I ask him if he is doing the "man thing"!! LOL
