Okay, so... new to me, but maybe old to you: If an item is BOGO at HT and you get both items (even though they both ring at half price) you cannot use a $1/2 coupon i.e. the Chex Mix and the Nabisco Wheat Thins from this weeks sale. To use the $1/2 you have to buy 4 of a BOGO item. Why have I not realized that before????

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Dec 17, 2010

Wow - you have had a rough time. You are so right, though. Those sleep-deprived days don't last forever. Hang in there. I am so impressed with your hubby! Way to go! Definitely looking forward to the swap! Do we get to meet all the babies, too?

  • kpeele Dec 17, 2010

Thanks for the congrats on the baby. Faye, he is 2 weeks old today (Friday). Nancy- at the right time (i.e. 4 am) you could have him for no coupons. Just kidding, of course! He's precious and wonderful and these exhausting days won't last forever (just keep reminding yourself of that, RCC). It's just been a rough few weeks battling nasty colds, ear infections, and a fall down the stairs (silly me). I've missed being an active part of the blog but my husband has been taking the coupons with him when he goes to the store. He was quite proud of himself when he came back from Lowes Foods the other night. I'm looking forward to possibly meeting some of you at the Fuquay coupon swap in a few weeks!

  • t0tAlChA0s Dec 16, 2010

Aawwwww - I want another wee one! =) But...thats why I took care of moments like this...lol 3 girls are enough. Hubby said he will be moving out to the RV in a couple more years. hahaha Congrats to all of you with newborns.

Oh I can't wait for the swap, I might need to start cutting now to be caught up by then...lol (slacker)

  • Nancy Dec 16, 2010

RCC - now, now, a 16 yr old CAN be fun :) And if you cover auto insurance, I may take you up on the offer LOL! When I drove a school bus, my favorite routes were my elementary school and high school kids - they really are fun!

Wow, a one month and a 16 yr old - bless your heart! That's quite a spread! My Mom did that, 6 of us, oldest was 21 when last one was born - yee gads!

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Dec 15, 2010

RCC - Congratulations to you as well!! Wow - a one month old and a 16 yr old. Built in babysitter - awesome!

  • Oxymoron02 Dec 15, 2010

    Hooray for babies! Congrats kpeele!

You won't be the only sleep deprived Mom at the swap, I'll have my month old in tow. Depending on the time of day, I may bring my 16 year old, she LOOOOOOOOVES kids.

Nancy, make me an offer on the 16 year old and she's YOURS! ;)

  • Nancy Dec 15, 2010

Kpeele - awwww, how many coupons would it take to swap for the wee one :) Just kidding!

Faye, will be emailing you with information on the swap and it sounds so far as if it will be the first week of Jan, within the week of getting the next P&G insert which is due out 12/26.

That way the holiday rush is over and not knowing if KK will be open then or not, we'll plan on McD's or Chik-fil-a where they have playgrounds for wee ones if Mom's have to bring them along. Will be fun!

Anyhoo - if anyone is interested in being included on the swap, please email me couponsarefoundmoney@yahoo.com and provide best days of week and times of those days that work best for you. I'll try to see how many 'best' times/days we can match up and go with that.

I'll be compiling a mass mailing list of those interested so that you'll be kept abreast of what is happening with our plans.

Wide open for suggestions too - would love to hear from you!!

  • Nancy Dec 15, 2010

Ooohhhh, Peter Pan on sale! Yes! Thank you Faye! The food banks love PB since it's high protein and easy for kids to use to feed themselves! I know I have at least two of those coupons!
