Thursday thoughts: CVS Black Friday totals!

Posted November 25, 2010

There are some fabulous free after rebate deals today at the CVS Black Friday sale (well, really, Black Thursday). Here's a picture of the items I purchased and the totals!

Total of products before sales and coupons: $79.86

Amount saved: $72.51

Amount paid: $7.35 (over $5.50 of this was tax)

AND, I still have an additional $24.70 left in ECB's to use in the next few weeks!

So, I spent $7.35 for about $80 worth of stuff and I still have another $24 to spend! Love CVS!

It's really hard to believe anyone would pay nearly $80 for these items but they are definitely worth purchasing today with the rebates!

Did you head out to the drug store sales today? How did you do? Please share your totals when you get a chance in the next few days.

total - naw, I know the staff at a couple CVS and they've been most accomodating to me and my fellow shoppers LOL In fact, a new manager at one of the CVS stores always smiles when I say hello to his staff in friendly terms and ask how they're doing as if I'm catching up with an old friend (which if really feels like!). I looked at him on Thursday and said, "Yup, I know your staff and love them!"

He was surprised I knew in advance all the sales they were running, he had not a clue that you could get all the sales ads online before they came out. But I comforted him telling him that CVS's sales rocked Thanksgiving more than any of the other drug store chains (which they did!) and he felt better :) LOL

lol Nancy. They would be sending distress signals out when we got done with them...lol

Faye, the Renpure refund is a tricky one sometimes, sometimes they refund the full amount but if they feel you used a coupon, they deduct and send you the rebate for what they believe you paid :( It's happened to many in the past.

I hope they honor the full price as shown it to be rung up as.

Totalchaos - girl, I'll take you shopping anytime :) But we would have to send out a warning to whatever CVS we go to - it would only be fair LOL

There were a few of the rebates at our store. Thanks for mentioning them, jzka!

I hope everyone found the mail in rebates tied to the Renpure. A big money maker paired with the ecb on that one!

Wow Nancy. I need to go shopping with you! lol I didn't get allot of stuff at CVS but I did ok I think. Not great. My total was $33.79. OOP was $16.10. Walked away with $15.88 in ECB.

Hit CVS this afternoon and was very happy that they had so much left. Only think I did not get was the excederin. My father and I had an entertaining conversation on the CVS game. Santa was able to get the mini MMs in the tube for 3 kids for FREE. Used the candy to fill in to get to minimum amounts.

Faye, it's too much fun, they're 3 and 4 yrs old, found great Toy Story and Thomas the Train flannel PJ's at Kohl's yesterday 50% off and then the toys today at CVS, and found something for Mom too, so come Christmas morning I'll have that warm feeling of knowing two little boys will be excited :)

And if the ad this coming week is good, I have more ECB's and RR's to add to the box I'll ship :) It's been a while since I bought for wee ones and it's FUN!!!!

You are an angel, Nancy! Those boys will be so excited!

No kidding on CVS being the major winner in sales this day! Even though I hit all three drug stores, I have to say, I came out of CVS thrilled. Plus, I bought gifts for Secret Santa for two little boys out in Kansas, signed up to be a SS on Hot Coupon World :) How fun is that!!! They had a great deal on Toy Story items (which one boy loves) and the B1G1 ZuZu pets and a good deal on Sing-a-ma-jig too! Yeehaaa :)

My CVS totals were $198.61 in merchandise which I paid $39.30 out of pocket (tax included of course) and still walked away with $27.00 in ECB's!!!

Bring on next weeks sales :)
