triplettk - on WG deals where they say B1G1 or other similar offers, you have to buy both to get the deal, they don't ring up half price, at least they never have for me.

One more WG question. Does anybody know if B1G1 stuff rings up half price or if you actually have to buy 2 to get the deal?

Faye - your back to basics drug store page says Walgreen's will not print RR's if you pay with an RR from the same manufacturer. On Walgreens.com coupon policy page, it never mentions manufacturer, just says "Customers redeeming a RR against the same offer may not receive another RR." I know this same offer stipulation to be true, but where did you learn about the larger restriction of the manufacturer?

Does anyone have experience with NOT getting an RR for a different offer from the same manufacturer? Like using a Crest RR to buy Gillette and the Gillette RR doesn't print?

    triplett, go to http://www.pg.com/en_US/brands/all_brands.shtml

It shows you ALL the P&G products, that way you can know which ones you can't roll RR's on that were issued by P&G.

It helps if you list all the items on sale that are P&G only on ones side of the paper, then the rest on the other - helps to visually see and check off which ones you can roll successfully as you work out your scenarios. I have not made my deals least yet (way behind!) for Walgreens or I would share what I will be doing :(

Just know that any transaction that you use a P&G RR to pay, if any of the products you're buying are P&G, it's almost sure you won't get another RR and it may even beep, even IF you have other non- P&G products.

Walgreens and the way they work with Manufacturers to get those RR's at all makes it really hard to work their deals.

Anybody know if you can do this:
Use $3 Crest RR + $2.50 Thermacare RR to pay for Crest (2.99)and Nivea (2.99) product in next order and still get another $3 Crest RR? I'm wondering if the same manufacturer rule applies to the whole order or as long as there is $3 of some other manufacturer in the order, you're okay?

Thanks for the tips Nancy. Any suggestions for knowing which brands have the same manufacturer? I think I know most of the P&G brands from all the coupons and rebates they do, but not sure what other brands share manufacturers. I knew a RR wouldn't print if you used an RR from that same item, but didn't know that the policy includes same manufacturer.

triplettk - the trick is to make your list of items by manufacturer - then only roll those RR's from OTHER manufacturers, sort of a back/forth routine.

As to 1 coupon per item policy, look around for cheap 'filler' items. You can usually find something for 25 cents to act as your filler to allow more than one 'coupon' or 'rr' per transaction.

In fact, I always throw about 6 fillers in my cart, and as I do transactions, if it beeps because of the paper count, I throw up one filler, they try it again and keep doing that until it clears.

Yes, it's a pain, but it can be done.

I've been working with this list for a couple of days now and just can't figure out how to roll RRs and keep out-of-pocket costs low with their 1 coupon per item policy - not even taking into account the policy that RRs won't print if you use one for item from same manufacturer. CVS and Rite Aid are a breeze, but Walgreen's seems determined to win this game!
