CVS Black Friday deals

Posted November 22, 2010
Updated November 23, 2010

There are so many Black Friday (Thursday, actually) deals at CVS that my head is spinning! Match the free after ECB deals with manufacturer coupons for lots and lots of money makers!

Sale starts Thursday, 11/25 - Thanksgiving Day.

I am rolling a few ECB’s from past weeks including the $13 Oral-B toothbrush ECB deal from a couple weeks ago to make my out of pocket very low. If you don’t have any ECB’s to start with, do smaller separate transactions and roll the ECB’s earned in one transaction into the next one to keep your out of pocket low. Suggestion: if there is a line behind you, it’s not cool to do 10 transactions in a row. I usually do 2 transactions in a row and then go to the back of the line and do it again. I’m just trying to be a respectful shopper if there is only one line open.

List made using the Black Friday CVS ad preview at Bfads.net. To see the actual ad scans of each item, click on the BFads link above.

Is it a MQ or ECB for the Mars king size candy bars? If it is MQ where did you find it? Thanks

I just spoke with my store and they are open from 8 am to 2 pm on Thanksgiving day.

Hi mailofferz - ECB's are an instant rebate program. Buy the qualifying items and the rebate comes out attached to your receipt in the form of a coupon (extra care bucks). You can then use the coupon on anything else in the store. On the front page of this Smart Shopper blog, there is a box with more details about the drug store reward programs. Go here:

Hope that helps and have fun!

I know the feeling Nancy, on the toothbrush. I was saving my ECB to roll over into the toothbrush, but could never find one. But the good news from that is, I have some to get started with. YaY. So it all worked out anyway. ut-oh...might better check the expiration date...lol scatter brain this time of year. =)

I don't usually shop at CVS. Can you briefly explain how ECBs work?

  • Nancy Nov 22, 2010

Ok, so I've given up on the Oral B toothbrushes again, still holding rainchecks from the offer 7 weeks ago - still no brushes at 3 local area stores :(

BUT I do have $15 in ECB's to start deals with on my card and my daughter has $16 on her card to get rolling with.

Now, the trick is for me to get out the door and get the deals purchased and run back home to throw luggage in the car and head to MD for BF shopping with friends LOL Yes, hubby is going too! We did this last year and had an absolute ball - he being very creative in finding us ways to get great parking at overly full parking lots AND getting us out in traffic that wasn't moving much LOL

The shopping was secondary to spending time with friends, even though shopping was where we spent our time, we had so many good laughs and scored a few great deals along the way :)

savesavesave, that's a bit of an 'each store' thing I think. Local CVS states they will be open at 7am - call your store(s) and ask them to be sure.

  • Trickat Nov 22, 2010

save...I would call your local CVS - mine is 7am, regular hours. I heard rumors of some store opening at 6am.

  • savesavesave Nov 22, 2010

Faye, or whomever may know...Does anyone know what time the store opens on Black Friday?
