Turkey Deals

The following frozen turkey prices were listed in the ads this week or confirmed with store managers. If you find a cheaper price, please post it below!

Kroger: .39/lb. with additional $25 purchase

Food Lion: .39/lb. with additional $35 purchase

Harris Teeter: .79/lb.

Lowes Foods: .79/lb. for Butterball turkey with additional $30 purchase

Walmart: .88/lb. This was my local Walmart price yesterday - it may come down as we get closer to Thanksgiving. They went as low as .40/lb with no other purchase required last year. Keep in mind that they will price match for other name brand and store brand turkeys according to the local store manager with whom I spoke yesterday. Make sure you bring in the ad of the other store.

random - great buy on the upright freezer! I'm ever grateful for mine, chock full as it is. BUT I did just reorganize it by pulling everything out and regrouping so I know exactly what shelf has what :)

That is a great deal on turkey breast, Nancy!

Check out craigslist.org for an extra freezer, HG.

Bought my turkey tonight at Kroger for .39/lb. Paid for the $25 minimum worth of other groceries using a a $25 credit on my Kroger card from transferring a script and using a transfer coupon. I paid $6.95 for the turkey, all the ingredients for the pumpkin pie, celery, carrots, bananas, tangerines, tea, granola bars, parmesan cheese, a gallon of milk, almonds for the broccoli ramen salad on Thanksgiving and enchilada sauce. Love it when a deal comes together!

I don't know what's up with the frozen turkey breasts, Nancy. I was surprised that BJ's wasn't carrying any frozen turkeys.

I gave in yesterday and picked up my turkey at HT for 79/lb But that Target deal a week ago for turkey breast at 98 cents a lb was what made me happy :) Stocked up and spread those around to family/friends. Already cooked one up and made soup too :)

Lowes meat associates told me they would not be getting any frozen turkey breasts in :( What's up with that?

And I have not seen decent prices anywhere else for them either, quite different from last year.
