Five Below is great for teens, pre-teens

Posted November 14, 2010

This month’s Smart Shopper video highlights a new store here in the Triangle – Five Below. The Cary location opened in early October and offers extreme-value merchandise to teens and pre-teens. The key with Five Below is that all the items in the store are priced between $1 and $5. Everything is $5 or less! That’s pretty enticing if you only have a $10 allowance.

Five Below carries a wide variety of products including sporting goods, games, jewelry, books, DVDs, iPhone accessories, snacks, candy, bath and body, collectibles, school supplies, stationary, gag items and seasonal products. The merchandise changes regularly. and they carry a number of brand name items like Hello Kitty and Disney.

we have decided to head to five below with our kids...and turn on a movie in the car and chills...while one kid and one parent go in and that kid buys gifts for his brothers...then the next kid...and the next it's not like going to target or walmart where you have to give them a limit and constantly remind them and help them see what actually falls into that everything's fair game! (except girly pink stuff!!!)

My coworkers have been raving over this store for a few weeks. I think I'm almost glad that I have no idea where things are in Raleigh! =) (I work here but don't live here.)

This store is great, even for those not in their teens or younger. I find great DVDs for cheap, office supplies, and other stuff for lower prices than anywhere else.

It's the perfect place to stock up on birthday party presents too! We seem to have one every weekend and it adds up! I haven't been but my husband has and raves about it - he says it's going to be Santa's go to place!!

J - They are right near REI and Staples on the Toys R Us side of Crossroads.

Total - Both my 11 and 9 yr olds enjoyed the selection. They found makeup, socks, silly bands and more.
