Halloween clearance - starting to see 75% off

Posted November 5, 2010

I am starting to see some stores go to 75% off Halloween clearance including Harris Teeter. Their candy is still 50%, but I have seen all other Halloween (decor, plates, napkins, etc) at 75% off at the Cary store on Walnut and at the Cameron Village store.  Kroger in Garner was still at 50% off today. A CVS employee told me she thought Halloween would probably go to 75% on Sunday.

Any other Halloween clearance to report?

Yesterday we were in Goldsboro so we went to the Wal-mart there. I got Tyler a costume for $1.40. Yay!! All the halloween items there were 90% off.

there are a few select halloween/fall figurines (maybe 10?) at rite aid on timber drive in garner (the one closer to garner proper, not the one in the food lion shopping center) that are 90% off. i marveled at them for a minute b/c i rarely see a 90% off sign...but i didn't need them. i think that would make them 50 cents ea. they would be cute fall gifts for teachers or something for next year.

Food Lion in Garner on 70 was still at 50% off Halloween clearance when I was there this morning. I had a extra few minutes while waiting for the bank to open and I stopped in to get some bananas and check out their in-store coupons. Was happy to find 3 different rebates including one for meat, the Kraft booklet and one for Thanksgiving items. Make sure you check the store aisles when you are shopping for displays with rebates and coupons. They are sprouting up everywhere right now!

Thanks to Jen for calling me about the Walmart 90 % off. We only picked up a few things because I only had about 15 minutes to look between games today. We spent about $4 on clearance for $40 in product. Bought a few decoration items and Halloween makeup kits. Also bought some Reese's haunted gingerbread houses that the kids can decorate. They enjoy decorating them and at .95 each - it's a frugal craft activity that will be fun to do together.

Thanks to everyone for posting the clearance they have found! Gorgon - awesome deals at Target. If I had not been at soccer games all day (starting at 7:30 am!), I would have been all over that clearance! Anyone else still recovering from sports tournaments this weekend? I don't know how the travel/challenge team parents handle all those tournaments they are always at. I must be a wimpy soccer mom! LOL Thankfully we only have 2 tournaments a year, usually.

Target in White Oak is slim pickins' but they've got 90% signs up now. Picked up a costume for the dog for $1.

Walmart at 4042 had theirs marked down to 90% off today. They had quite a bit left this am when I was there. Many of my items had to be manually rang up and the cashier commented that they wouldn't have to worry about it after today because they were taking it off the sales floor. She was very nice though!

Target in white oak was still advertising 75% off but everything was ringing up 90% off...they still had the ghost, frankenstein, and mummy lawn lighting decorations, got those for 2 bucks(reg. $20) and costume for my little man for next year...2 bucks as well!

I went to Target in Wilson yesterday and everything Halloween is 75% off, they had a lot of the "good" candy left...I got my share of Reese's peanut butter cups for 67 cents a bag!
