Just updated the coupon links to ad a $1/2 printable coupon for Healthy Choice entrees with pairs well with the HT BOGO sale. Thanks to ccooper for e-mailing the link to me!

Hi Judy! It's great to see you here on the blog! I miss running in to you at the grocery store. It's been too long! I am not printer savvy at all so I am no help there. Can anyone else point her in the right direction?

  • jlangdon12 Oct 21, 2010

Does anyone else have a problem printing the Smartsource coupons? Mine print a very tiny color picture of the product at the top and the rest of the page is blank. I tried enabling all the Java settings on my computer, still prints only the small picture. I wanted the Green Giant and Lance coupons. Thanks for any help. Judy

    You Rock Faye - thanks!

Autumn - congrats on the Walmart finds! Keep 'em com'n! I heard the Old Hearth Bagels are close to free again with MQ and a Rollback... watch for it.

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Oct 20, 2010

We can only post 1000 letters per post and I ran out of room on my last one...because I talk too much! :-)

Basically, autumn, no one store has all the best deals. Walmart does not put out a grocery ad like the grocery stores and I am not able to wander the store every week looking for every item that matches coupons. My suggestion is to look at the grocery list I publish on Wednesdays to see if the items you need are at a good buy price that week. If not, that might be a good item to put on the Walmart list. Please feel free to post the good deals you find at Walmart - I know everyone would appreciate it!

It is my goal to start including a weekly Walmart produce sale list, but I can't seem to find the time to get to the store in time to publish the list before the week is over! Any volunteers?! :-)

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Oct 20, 2010

    Hi autumn nut,

Thanks for your question. We get the same one every few months from folks new to the coupon game. The reason I don't focus on Walmart is because with the sales and a doubled coupons at somewhere like Lowes Foods, Harris Teeter or Kroger, the price is almost always better than the Walmart price with a coupon that is not doubled. Most couponers wait for the good sale, use multiple coupons that get doubled and stock up so they don't have to pay a higher price somewhere else that does not double coupons. Many of the items you listed are items that couponers get for less money.

But, that is not to say that Walmart does not have some good buys. I usually make one stop a week at Walmart for fresh fruit and veggies. They often have good everyday prices on items we use alot like green peppers, bananas and apples. I also get Reach floss there for free all the time with the $1 Reach coupons that are issued in the paper. They also have good prices on veggie burgers.

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Oct 20, 2010

April - sorry about that - was in a hurry to get it published today and overlooked those 2. Thanks for the reminder! The 2 links have been added to the list of printable coupons above.

  • autumn_nut Oct 20, 2010

I know I am new to this method of savings. However, I can't help to wonder why Wal-Mart is never mentioned here. I had some good deals today and their everyday low prices beat the grocery store prices with coupons! I purchased two boxes of Betty Crocker instant mashed potatoes. Regular price .98 with manufacturer's coupon of $1.00 off 2 boxes = .48 each box. Also, Busy Bones Chewnola - Reg. price $3.56 - $1.50 coupon = $2.81. Lean Cuisines for $2.25 - .25 coupon = $2.00. 32 oz. Dannon Low Fat Vanilla Yogurt - $2.28 - .75 coupon = $1.53. That's lower than the store brand! Maybe I'm missing something but I think these are very good deals.

  • aprilmiller Oct 20, 2010

Hey Faye --- thanks as always for this amazing list! Do you happen to have the Keebler and the Breakstone printable coupon links?
