Check your local CVS store for clearance. Mine had MP3 players, MP3 speakers, lighted nail clippers, and Cottonelle TP 20 packs for 75% off today! I used the printable .50 Cottonelle coupons I posted about a couple weeks ago and ECB's and bought five packs of 20 double rolls for only $12.99! The 40/42 store was selling out of them quickly, but maybe your store still has them. Look for the Cottonelle Buy 16 Get 4 Free packages. They are blue and giant! The sale price on the TP was $4 for 20 rolls - a great deal even without the coupon and ECBs. The MP3's were $7 to $10 - also a great deal!

Yep - that is what I would do, stepbak. Some stores are just more coupon friendly than others.

  • stepbak Oct 19, 2010

Faye- yes, I was buying the mens bodywash. The person I spoke with when I called the Walgreens customer relations number did say that "some managers do what they want to do" so I guess I just need to try to use those great coupons at another store.

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Oct 19, 2010

stepbak - It really is up to the managers ultimately, although my Walgreens would have taken it. So would my CVS because they get reimbursed in full for the coupon. You were buying men's bodywash with the $3 men's coupon, right?

  • Ms PEAH Oct 18, 2010

stepbak, i didn't have a problem with the Nivea. I went to the Walgreens in Garner, purchased 4 women's body wash & 2 Nivea for Men. I used 2 $3.00 coupons for the men & 2 $3/2 for the women's bodywash. The overage for the men's went towards the balance of the women's. I also purchased a few other things as well, but most of it was free.

  • stepbak Oct 18, 2010

oh and my incident with Walgreens happened at the one on Capital Blvd

  • stepbak Oct 18, 2010

I was a little upset with the Walgreens with the Nivea coupons. Ok so I did purchase the Nivea body wash for women because I had a 3.00 off coupon so I got a total of 4 for $1.00 each. Well when it came down to using the coupon for the men's bodywash the cashier scanned both bottles and I had 2 3.00 off coupons so that practically would have made them both free well the register was only accepting one coupon. I asked for a manager and he told me that because the body wash was on sale for 2.50 and the coupon was for 3.00 off I could not use the coupon. So I called the customer relations number for Walgreens and was told that it was pretty much up to the managers discretion if they wanted to accept the coupons or not. I am wondering if anyone purchased this body wash and did they have a problem like I did??

In case some didn't know and want to go to the State Fair - Subway has $2 off adult admission coupons by their register

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Oct 17, 2010

Great job allsnug and teacher! Thanks for the info on the thermacare and bodi heat wraps, allsnug!

So, do you think the 13 packs of free gum offsets the cost of 4 of us going to the fair today?! LOL

  • teacher101 Oct 17, 2010

I went to Rite Aid - thought I did well, but then I looked at allsnug :) I saved a little over half my bill, not that great, but I did get a few magazines (splurge lol) and B1,G1 medicine (no coupon) - I also forgot about my $5 coupon (thanks allsnug for the reminder)
as for CVS - both newspapers I get didn't have a CVS paper in it - was I the only one?
