Kerr Drug offering free delivery of prescriptions!

Posted September 28, 2010

I received an e-mail from Frank at Kerr Drug about a new benefit: free delivery of prescriptions!  They will deliver to your home or office and there are no hidden fees and no tipping. This is a wonderful service for those not able to get out and about to get their prescriptions or for those just too busy to make it to the store during business hours.  AND, if you need other items from the store, they will deliver them along with your prescription! Talk about bringing customer service to a whole new level.

Granted, I mainly shop at Harris Teeter because of the coupons and sales I work....but I never wait in line behind more than 1 or 2 people....and they ALWAYS ask me if I would like help with putting my groceries in the car. I'm always surprised that they even ask me when my husband is with me.

Wal-mart has a lot of good deals available, but it makes my head implode when I think about how long I stand in line at the new Apex store. I've been there at 3pm many times and stood in line for 30 minutes. For some reason they only have one check-out open. I feel bad for the people that run in for one or two items and get stuck in that mess.

And yet grocery stores still are unable to ring up your groceries in a timely manner, forcing us to have to use the self-serve checkout, nor are they able to assist you with your groceries to you car. It's time we brought back SERVICE in this country!

There was a time when every pharmacy offered free delivery.
