Harris Teeter super doubles good deals list!

Posted September 13, 2010
Updated September 16, 2010

Here are the best deals for the Harris Teeter Super Doubles promotion starting Wednesday, September 15! This is definitely a work in progress and I will be updating many times a day with new deals we discover. Please feel free to post any deals you find so we can help each other find the best buys.

Coupon policy during Super Doubles

* HT begins super doubling coupons at 7:00 AM on the first day of the sale. 24 hour stores do not super double coupons before 7:00 AM. (at least that is how it has worked in the past)

* HT will Super Double coupons worth up to $1.98 face value. A $1.50 coupon will double to $3.00. A $1.00 coupon will double to $2.00. A $2.00 coupon will not double at all and will only be taken at face value ($2.00).

* HT will super double/double up to 20 coupons per day. Period. End of story. Spouse's cards registered with the same address are linked because the policy is 20 per household, per day. If you have 20 $1 coupons and 20 .75 coupons, only 20 total will double. They will not double 20 under $1 coupons and super double another 20 coupons that are over $1.

* HT policy is to double up to 3 identical coupons (as long as you buy the product required for each coupon, of course). So, if you have five $1.00 coupons for a product, the policy is to only super double the first three.

Thanks kpeele for answering LAX - that is exactly what I did. WHen you use the .60/3 insert coupon instead of the $1/3 printable coupon it is a little more expensive but still a great deal.

  • kpeele Sep 18, 2010

LAXMom-- You probably already got this worked out, but here's my guess (and what I've done) for the GG veggies. For each set of 3 you buy, you get the $2 off for the $1/3 coupon that gets doubled. Then if you're buying these as part of the GM buy 20 promotion you essentially getting another $0.30 off each item when the $6 comes off your transaction at the register. So, you're paying $0.10 for all 3 boxes of veggies. Not truly free but pretty close! Then if you buy 9 (really only need 8 but the coupon quantities require multiples of 3) you get the $3 off your next order catalina at the register too!

Faye - what was the coupon combination that you used for the Green Giant veggies? I see the $1/3 and you bought 9 boxes. I'm wondering how you got the third box for free since that was only $2.00 off. I'm trying to figure out how to get the maximum out of coupons and I think I'm missing a piece.

    Thanks!

  • Question Sep 16, 2010

Faye--thanks so much for this. Wanted to share a headsup with everyone. Recently purchased a huge box of Dole diced peaches from BJs for my sons' lunchboxes. After we'd already eaten ~1/2 the box, my son noticed "Peaches from China" lightly inkjetted on the box. As an fyi, Del Monte uses US fruit. Just wanted to share for those who are concerned about some of China's practices when it comes to safety!

" Can you stack manufacter coupons with HT coupons? I received 3 HT coupons for items I would purchase, but I wasn't sure if I can add MF coupons. Also, will HT coupons double?"
    BSW2MSW

If you're talking about the catalina coupons that they hand you that printed out when you checked out? No. Those are manufacturer coupons and can't be stacked with another MQ. And those catalina coupons will NOT be doubled either. Just a heads up :)

I got $32.00 worth of dog food for $10.00. It was $15.99 for one 20 pound bag of Purina- buy one get one free- then I had 2 -$1.50 off coupons that worked- one HT- Catalina coupon and one manufacture coupon! Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • triplettk Sep 15, 2010

Does anyone know yet if the Nature Valley Granola Thins count toward the 20 item GM promotion? What about Fiber One Toaster Pastries? Is there a complete list somewhere?

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Sep 15, 2010

FYI - I just loaded a new post for sharing your great deals so feel free to share on that thread or this one - whatever you want to do. :-) I am posting the pics of my receipt and groceries on the new post. Happy shopping!

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Sep 15, 2010

Here are my totals for today's shop at the 401/Ten Ten Rd. store in Garner/Fuquay. I didn't get there until 9 am but they still had a pretty good stock of the items I wanted. They also had a number of lanes open so there was barely any wait - kudos to the Kings Grant store - & to Ursula and Howard who rock that store!!!

Subtotal before sales and coupons: $74.24

    Total saved: $73.70

    Total spent: 54 cents!

    % saved: 99%

PLUS I earned an additional $4 in Catalinas from the Green Giant and Pillsbury Catalina deals! So basically I got $74 in free groceries plus the $4 in Catalinas paid for the gas to get there & back.

    I purchased:

9 Green Giant boxes frozen veggies

    3 Oikos Greek yogurt

3 Dannon crush cups, 4 packs

    1 Activia 4 pack

1 Fiber One yogurt 4 pack (already had one for breakfast!)

    2 Campbells select harvest soups

    3 Campbells chunk soups

    6 Betty Crocker boxed potatoes

    2 Pillsbury biscuits

    1 Pillsbury french loaf

    1 Pillsbury bread sticks

    1 Grande tortilla chips

Nancy and kpeele - thanks so much for helping Jenna. I was busy doing something...what could it have been???? LOL Hurray for super doubles!!

Purplepat - it is in their policy that they double up to 2 identical printables. As cjohnson mentioned, some stores allow more than that but the store was correct about their policy.

kstry360 and pss3 - thanks for the additional deals! I will add them to the list this morning.

jenna - you may want to consider taking one of my workshops. It would clear up a lot of your questions. If you click on the link for Smart Spending Workshop Schedule at the top right side of this page, you can see my upcoming workshop schedule. If you have any questions about them, let me know.

Thanks to everyone for sharing your totals! Keep posting the great deals and your fabulous savings!!
