HT super doubles rumor!

I heard from a Harris Teeter employee yesterday that there will be super doubles starting next Wednesday, September 15. I also received an e-mail from Quinn today saying that an employee at a different store confirmed super doubles as well. Thanks Quinn!  I have not seen the ad myself so it is not officially confirmed, but I pass on the info so you can start getting your coupons in order.

* HT begins super doubling coupons at 7:00 AM on the first day of the sale. 24 hour stores do not super double coupons before 7:00 AM. (at least that is how it has worked in the past)

* HT will Super Double coupons worth up to $1.98 face value. A $1.50 coupon will double to $3.00. A $1.00 coupon will double to $2.00. A $2.00 coupon will not double at all and will only be taken at face value ($2.00).

* HT will super double/double up to 20 coupons per day. Period. End of story. Spouse's cards registered with the same address are linked because the policy is 20 per household, per day. If you have 20 $1 coupons and 20 .75 coupons, only 20 total will double. They will not double 20 under $1 coupons and super double another 20 coupons that are over $1.

* HT policy is to double up to 3 identical coupons (as long as you buy the product required for each coupon, of course). So, if you have five $1.00 coupons for a product, the policy is to only super double the first three.

Here's the unsolicited advice I offer before every coupon promotion like this.  It is especially helpful if you are new to super doubles: Keep in mind that the best deals go quickly and unless you are there at the crack of dawn, they will already be out of a lot of the best deals. They will restock as they receive product, but it is rare for anyone to get all the deals they wanted. My thought on this is that I am grateful for the deals I am able to get and I realize that there will be another good deal soon. I don't complain to the managers because that just encourages them to NOT want to offer these awesome promotions. You can also ask when the next truck will be in so you can time your shop to coincide with the new shipment. If you are so inclined, I also recommend that you call corporate or write them a note after you have shopped to thank them for offering the promotion.
