I think the policy just gets misinterpreted sometimes. I've used the Nabisco Milk/Cookie coupon several times over the past few months at the Cary (55/Green Level-High House) store.

I read their policy to mean they will not accept an internet coupon for a free item....but they will accept one that requires you to make a purchase to get the free item. Sometimes it just depends on the weather!

  • HappyGirl08 Sep 11, 2010

Well, I went to my HT today and did some shopping. I took the nabisco free cookie coupon with me since milk and nabisco coupons were on sale this week. They REFUSED to accept it because it was an internet coupon and it called for a free item. I know what the policy says but I thought that was cruddy to be honest. It wasn't for a free item and that's did have to buy certain other items to get the deal. I did have another coupon so I just used that but still I wasn't happy and it certainly wasn't the free pkg of cookies I was hoping for. Very frustrating.

  • kpeele Sep 11, 2010

I know a lot of people had trouble using it, but it appears the $5/5 KRAFT coupon has been reset! I was able to print 2 more just now.

  • erinlikescoupons Sep 10, 2010

I went to Lowe's last night and ended up stocking up on Betty Crocker Brownie/Cookie Bar mixes. They were on sale 2 for $4. In the Lowe's weekly flyer, if you bought 4, you got $2 off. I always had two coupons from Betty Crocker to get $0.75 off the purchase of two. The coupons were doubled, so I ended up paying ($4 + $4 - $0.75 X 2 - $0.75 X 2 - $2) $3 for four boxes of Betty Crocker mix. That came out to $0.75 per box.

I always stocked up on Progresso while I was there. Had coupons $0.50 off of 2, which was then doubled. I used four of those coupons, so bought 8 cans of Progresso for $0.79 each. SWEET!

I bought the cabbage and carrots while I was there. I plan on altering the recipe a bit and making Braised Cabbage and Carrots. I think I may also make some cabbage soup this weekend to put in the freezer.

Thanks for the grocery deals, Faye!

I think I've just answered my own question since I've dug deeper....I can't find the Keebler Sandwich "Crack ers" in the express lane prices. lol Oh well!

  • heazer Sep 9, 2010

Does anyone know more information about the Keebler special at HT? My specific question is about the Keebler Sandwich "Crack ers" (sorry the comment filter fought me! lol), and if they are included in the "buy 4, get $5" deal. They aren't pictured in the printed HT ad, but I cannot find any text that specifies the item list...or that specifies the deal to be on the pictured items only. I appreciate any feedback about prior experience!

Good deal on Campbell's Select Soups at FL...they are on sale for 10/$10 and there is a printable coupon on the select website for $1/1 so free soup! I was able to print the coupon twice as well for two free cans of soup.

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Sep 8, 2010

Hi mkjonesnc - I did get the e-mail, but my e-mail states that corrections were made to the e-mailed ad, not the printed ad. The corrected prices in the e-mailed ad are the same correct prices in the print ad. Here is the text from my e-mail:

"Once in a while things don't go as planned and unfortunately that is exactly what happened this week with your weekly specials email.

We are very sorry for the mistake and hope you understand. The correct items are included in the email below."

  • mkjonesnc Sep 8, 2010

Hey Faye! Have taken your class, love your blog, thanks for all you do.

Wanted to know if you received an email today like I did about their being errors in the printed Lowes Foods flyer? It does not say any where that I can see what was incorrect. Thanks
