Text PURINA to 467467 and you will get $3 off your next purchase of Purina One brand dry dog or cat food. I have been doing these text deals for a while and the discount is added to your MVP card and just comes off at the register once when you buy the qualifying item. First, text them the word Purina to 467467.  They respond back that the discount has been added to your Food Lion MVP card. If you have not received text deals in the past, you will need to have your MVP card number ready. When they respond back to your text, you will need to enter your card number. You won't have to do this every time, just on the first text.  Then, the discount is added to your card and when you scan your card at the register and then scan your item, the discount will come off automatically. I have received free cereal, candy bars and lots of discounts with the Food Lion texts. They usually send me a text every couple weeks with an offer. If I want to load the coupon or freebie to my card, I text back with whatever word they tell me to use to get the deal.
