Well????  How did you do???

It was a very good morning at HT today! I was quite surprised that there were not more people at the HT on Ten Ten and 401 at 7:00 am. The only item that was out of stock when I was shopping was the Kraft Homestyle mac and cheese. For a list of the great deals click the link in the box. The printable coupons can be found at that link, as well.

Here is the breakdown of my shop this morning. All the items I bought are in the picture. I also used a $10 catalina register coupon from the Kellogg's cereal deal last week which I used to buy some of the good produce deals this week.

Well, since I was near an HT anyway today, I thought I'd make another trip. I went to the Fuquay store on main street & they were out of alot, of course. I coupled some great e-vics I got in Friday's e-mail with coupons I had for free yo plus and $2 Oscar Mayer deli chicken in the 1 lb container. $2/lb for deli chicken is really good. I also picked up a few more torillas and cheap peanut butter.

My kids are pretty well set for school lunches now. Between the granola bars at Kroger and the rest of the deals at HT - it's been a very good two weeks for saving grocery money. Then, to top if off, I stopped by Lowes Foods to get the $1.99 chicken breast and they had some perdue thin sliced chicken breast marked down (we are grilling it tonight and it is marinating as I type) plus I had $1 perdue chicken coupons from a Lowes foods home mailer so they were only $1.25/lb!

senglish - not sure when you called Kelloggs to get the coupons, but I have received mine. I had 2 boxes of the recalled cereal and they sent 2 coupons for any free Kelloggs product up to $5.99. I used one of them during the Kellogg's cat deal last week and still have another to use. I called within the first couple days of the recall to request the coupons and received them about 2 weeks ago.

Here is the number to call:
Kellogg Consumer Response Center at 888-801-4163

Here is the link to the blog post about it from June:

    Good luck!

Hey Faye, speaking of Kellogg's cereal -- I haven't received my coupons yet for the recalled cereals, have you? Was wondering if I should call again (and if I could even find the number again!)...

Thanks to all of you for playing on the blog with me! My thanks to WRAL for giving us this little outlet for savings!

Great job wildfrench! With all these long lists of great deals I keep waiting to hear "and a partiridge in a pear tree" at the end of each list. :-) Hey - before we know it, December will be here (and we will still be eating super cheap Kellogg's cereal).

acbraswell - I agree, Faye does a ton of work and has brought so many into the couponing world of fun and savings!!! Especially in these hard economic times and so many losing jobs, couponing is becoming a financial necessity for many. She does a super job and I for one am grateful as I refer many to her blogs for help and links she offers :)

Thanks for all you do Faye!!

Ditto on the kudos for HT too :) I have always been impressed with HT above all other grocery store chains we have to shop in. Their CS is above and beyond and friendly associates at every turn - they truly understand CS and never cease to amaze me! It's my #1 store. I track my savings per store on a spreadsheet, far and away I save the most at HT overall!

totalchaos - LOL, great, just ANOTHER way to enjoy cakesters :) Just what I needed! I'm the one who likes the chocolate ones, hubby and son love the golden ones - those puppies don't have a prayer around this house :)

I do have another coupon for another package at 99 cents, will get that one tomorrow I'm sure :)

FINALLY made it to HT this evening. Went to the North Hills store (LOVE THEM!!). They did not have the Kraft Homestyle mac & cheese and were out of the Seventh Generation products I wanted. I did get 2 free packages of Ziplock containers, 2 free pouches of Ortega taco seasoning and 2 cheap cans of Ortega refried beans, among other things. I had the $1.00 coupon for Perdue Chicken cutlets, but they were out. Guess that's what I get for procrastinating and not getting there until Thurs night. Oh, well. Spent $24 and saved $58, ~71% savings. Could have been better, but the samples got to me and I had to have some bread and cheese that wasn't on sale.

Faye, thanks for all the work you put into this blog! I have saved so much money since I've started serious couponing several months ago. And thanks to Harris Teeter for their wonderful sales and coupon events!
