Drug store deals 8-8

Posted August 8, 2010

Freebies this week include: Schick Hydro razor, Dulcolax Balance, Dial Nutriskin Bodywash, Biore Conact solution and Crest toothpaste! For any printable coupons listed, check the box to the left to find the link and print them.Make sure you click the "More" tab to see the rest of the coupons.

FYI - We did not get the great Schick and Garnier coupons in our newspaper inserts this week so you will have to order them from a coupon clipping service if you want them. Thanks to Nancy for pointing it out.  Not sure why we aren't getting these good coupons, but I am going to ask! The funny thing is that there is a page in the coupon inserts with Food Lion deals and it even indicates that there is a $5 Schick coupon in most papers..... "most" being the key word, I guess.

Oh, as an aside, my SIL did call RP and ask them why the Pgh papers don't carry their insert and they said it was a 'marketing decision' - on whose part - newpaper or RP, who knows. I'm sure there is some contractual agreement between papers/insert companies, so obviously that market can't reach an agreement I guess?

Noticed this past week that our little Fuquay Independent no longer carries the SS inserts now either :( That bummed me out, 50 cents was a cheap way to pick up extra SS inserts, no more though!

  • Nancy Aug 8, 2010

I know what you mean Faye, I get three Sunday papers delivered each week :) But when I ordered the missing coupons this morning I also ordered a bunch of the Free Limeade coupons (the whole section of those Taco Bell coupons for only 5 cents each!!) because they don't expire until 9/5 - and when I'm out running around, I get my free Limeade to drink for a nickel LOL. Ordered some other coupons too in prep for Harris Teeter as well - just rolled it all into one order.

Buy it could be worse! My SIL in Pgh never gets any RP or P&G inserts!! None of the papers in the huge Pgh market have them! Really hard on those folks huh? So I send her a complete set of coupons each Sunday night so that she gets them by Wed so she can take advantage of drug store deals and of course grocery store stuff too. So, all things considered, I won't complain :)

Thanks for helping out Shay, total! Did you find the rebate in the More section, Shay?

Nancy - thanks for the coupon info. I was using the coupon preview from couponclippers.com to match the sales last night. I have noticed that the N & O has not had a number of really good coupons in their inserts lately. I'll have to ask Sue why they are not getting them. It's really too bad because the Schick and Garnier coupons make for some really good deals, but I don't really want enough of the coupon to justify ordering them - that's why I pay for the paper - so I get them on Sunday and dont have to order them! lol

  • Nancy Aug 8, 2010

Sadly, our N&O inserts did not include ANY schick hyrdo coupons nor did they include the Garnier shampoo/conditioner/styling product coupons. Bummers. But I ordered them this morning from a clipping service so I can take advantage of some of the deals this week.
