no triples. I asked yesterday and she said there won't be any this week. Maybe the following week. Bummer!

  • cjohnson1073 Jul 19, 2010

Faye, have you heard anything on Triples yet? I've seen mixed reports and was hoping you might have heard something more concrete.

Hi Early - Glad you found some useful coupons in the paper. I hope your son enjoys band camp - and has good weather for all that outdoor marching!

  • earlychd99 Jul 15, 2010

Faye, Sunday morning while heading to church I stopped at the post office and brought a news & observer for the coupons.I was expecting the coupons to be for items that aren't in fayetteville area but they wasn't. Anyway,I'm glad I brought paper . I was able to use suave coupons at cvs. I will be stopping to get paper every week. This sunday we are driving to Greensboro to drop son off at UNC for band camp and on the way back to Hope Mills we will be stopping at Lowes in Sanford.

Actually, that's not so bad J. The tortillas at Kroger have 10 in a packages and were $1 for the larger ones so about the same price. I really miss the free Mission tortillas we got in the spring at HT with the .75/1 coupons! That was a great deal when they went on sale for $1.50! I was so surprised when I realized I had used tham all from my freezer. It was hard to actually pay money for them again! LOL

I had some very ripe bananas earlier in the week so I mashed up 3 of them and included them in a yellow cake mix I was making anyway. Soooo yummy and made the cake incredibly moist. We had planned to ice it with cream cheese frosting, but it tasted so good without icing we left it off. With all the bananas and no frosting it was almost health food! ;-)

  • j3434 Jul 15, 2010

i don't want to tell you how much they were at sam's b/c you might think less of me. ;) they didn't hurt my feelings too much, but they were $3.12 for a 40-ct bag of the mission fajita (smaller) size flour tortillas. my 8-yr-old is excited about making lunch for his brothers these days and was going through withdrawals not having any tortillas to make wraps. you know, peanut butter and jelly, veggie, taco, pizza, ham, the standard wrap fare! ;)

  • HappyGirl08 Jul 15, 2010

Oh banana bread. mmmmm I hear that! haha

  • t0tAlChA0s Jul 15, 2010

happy - when mine go bad, thats my excuse to make banana bread...yummm =)

  • HappyGirl08 Jul 15, 2010

Faye, yes only one banana. haha I needed a snack for my lunch and I was out of fruit at the house. I only buy them 1 or 2 at the time b/c the other part of my household doesn't eat them so, if I get lazy they go bad.

I see also I wasn't the only person who got redbox codes for their Mtn. Dews at kroger. I think I got 2 or 3 last Sunday when I went to buy 10. I love to rent some free movies!

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Jul 15, 2010

I am planning to head to Kroger this morning after dropping the kids off at camp. I really wish I could get to the FV store since they are so coupon friendly!

J - how much were the tortillas at Sam's and what size is the container?
