That is exactly what the mgr said - they are cracking down because of shelf clearers. :-(

Must get to FV Kroger....... :-)

Faye, all I can think of for the reason behind the change are couponers who go in and literally clean out a product in one transaction. I never do that, I'm usually one who finds a shelf empty :(

If they said it was district wide, then they're having problems keeping supply in and their cracking down would be my simple guess.

It's a shame some folks shop like they have an army to feed that night and hurts the rest.

I found a few nice surprises when I shopped at Kroger tonight. I got 3 catalina coupons for one free redbox one night DVD rental (courtesy of Frito-Lay, Pepsi, Orville Redenbacher, and Hershey, it says). I'm guessing I got one for every 2 Pepsi products because I bought 7 Pepsi products as part of the Mega promotion.

Also if you don't have the $1.50/2 coupons for the Kraft Mayo, the jars of regular Kraft have a stickie for $0.50 off 1 (which gets doubled)of the sandwich shop or olive oil Kraft mayos when you buy the regular.

Like Nancy I was able to use more than 2 multiples of several coupons at the FV store. Plus, the CSM was very helpful (late at night) when there was a glitch in getting my fourth $5 off.

Bad news on the internet coupons at your Kroger, msleep. So sad to hear they are not accepting printables. Thanks for sharing the info - very good to know!

You are sooo lucky Nancy! The Apex Kroger had signs at every register and as soon as I got to the register, they made sure I knew the rule. The manager said it was a district wide policy but maybe the FV store chooses not to enforce it. Either way - enjoy your unlimited coupons! Guess what Kroger I will be shopping next?! :-)

FYI. The Kroger on Creedmoor and Lynn Rd does not accept internet generated coupons:(

LOL, I was typing my reply and hadn't refreshed the page when I see you asked about the multiples of the same coupon :)

It's good to be home indeed! Another rumor floating out there about possible triples.......sigh.........I JUST finished clipping all my coupons that piled up while I was away! Many still need to be filed yet but I know what I have at least :)

Had some fun teaching my SIL in Pgh how to coupon/deal match etc. She's taken off like a bottle rocket too! Sends me her totals and I'm so proud of her :) We shopped 'crash course' style in three days while we visited and lo and behold, she's up and running!

Now, if I could just get my breath between ads I'll be ok LOL

faye - the Kroger in Fuquay still allows multiples of same coupons, no limits. In fact, I used 5 of the same coupon this week, not a problem.

I wonder if it's not just YMMV with that store manager?

I hope they don't restrict, it's one of the benefits of kroger over HT!

Oh, I almost forgot - welcome home Nancy! So good to have you back!

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Jul 12, 2010

Nancy - did your store let you use more than 2 multiples of coupons (for example - 4 coupons for .50/1 Suave)?
