As you know, I am hanging out with my visiting brothers and their families this week so I am not posting quite as much on the blog. I did want to share this interesting list I just read of The 40 Most Useful Travel Websites That Can Save You a Fortune from www.wisebread.com.

The list includes some familiar names like Priceline.com, Tavelocity.com and TripAdvisor.com (one of my favorites).  It also includes some really unique sites like www.couchsurfing.org/, where you can host folks from around the world in your home or travel to other countries and stay for free at other people's homes. There is also a site listed called HomeExchange.com where families agree to swap homes for a vacation. The article offers a number of other options for finding cheap airfare, choosing the best seat on a flight, and even information about hostels (they aren't just for college students anymore).

If you are planning a trip in the future, I definitely recommend you take a look at the sites in the article. Now, I wonder if someone in Italy wants to trade houses for a week with me?!
